Morgan, on the other hand, just wants to prove she's better than the other doctors, particularly in the eyes of the patients, so she often tries to play the hero. In this case, she failed miserably.

I only know of Manami Ito and that’s the only reason this episode didn’t give me a nervous breakdown. Being able to imagine that maybe this poor girl got another chance to play again a few years later. It used to be prosthetics returned only the most basic function so if you wanted to do something like play an instrument you had to find workarounds (play with your feet, etc.). Now we are beginning to see just the start of what bionics can do and it’s exciting.

In the case of house, while he ends up being right most times in the end, you still gotta have people questioning you because if they didn't, then there may be the one time where he is actually wrong and messes up badly. Like in that one episode where he was going to amputate every limb from a little girl, chase stopped him in time and found out that she was allergic to light and didn't need amputation

I feel like if the other doctors didn't fight them, then the shows would not be as interesting. Plus, I feel like hospitals are a collaborative effort. If everyone kept accepting one guy as right all of the time, it leaves very little room for second opinions. What if the doctor was wrong but everyone just accepted them as right? Things will fall through the cracks. Doctors should question each other. They literally have lives on the line. There is little room for error.

I loved this scene. I'm happy they're showing Morgan's empathetic side. From her entrance into the show I liked her but didn't know why - now I know it was because she was actually quite caring on the inside, despite her hard exterior. Love Morgan!

I do see that side to Morgan too. I notice that with a few patients she considers their lifestyle and tries to fit the treatment to them, making it person centred, like last season with the girl who's heart was outside her chest and with the mountain climber in a previous episode of this season. She is the opposite of Shaun; he sees symptoms and considers the best way to deal with the symptoms without thinking about the person and how it will affect their lifestyle, and Morgan tries to fit the treatment around the patient and their lifestyle, but it might not be the best way to deal with the symptoms as demonstrated here, she delayed treatment and it cost the patient her arm. Unlike Shaun, she makes everything a competition and wanting to be the best can be dangerous and change a patient's life. Hopefully, she will learn from this mistake and grow as a character.

By far the most complex character in the entire show. She constantly sways in the grey area. She wanted to save this woman's entire arm and hand. That is why she she hesitated on getting deep tissue cut out of her finger because she would never be able to play violin again. Personally, I think Morgan is actually the character with the most compelling story. She's feisty, hard, unapologetic and driven. But she's also a devout Christian. Even if she managed to overcome and play again, she'll never be picked over a non disabled player. Player with such injuries often have to perform solo, attracting attention by showing off how they can still play with their handicap. It'll be their disability that'll be thrusted into the forefront than their music. Imagine it, relearning and playing again, just for your lack of an arm to be more prominent and well known then your music. She would forever be the one armed violinist. She'll never be JUST a musician, always the oddity.
