Kind of. Everyone on the team (cast, writers, directors, etc.) Can pitch a joke and then if it's good they will try it out and if it's amazing they keep it, no matter who comes up with it. When I'm in a depressive episode, I tend to mindlessly binge shows in my free time because it's all that I really have enough energy for at the end of the day. The result is that I sometimes mindlessly binge shows that turn out to be really good and regret it later. This was one of those shows. I didn't even realize how good it was until I was starting to come out of my depressive episode when I was almost done with it. I wish I could watch it again with fresh eyes and appreciate it completely from the start, because it's so funny, and so clever, and so well-written, and so interesting, and so unique, and just so so good.
