I'm a teenager, just starting tarot. This was my first deck of tarot and I understand there isn't much symbolism in it, and yes! It's very beautiful I can agree

Hello !One the best tarot reader here,on KZbin (San Tarot) uses this deck for her readings.It's a current mistake that people do for everything:they judge on the appearance ,and for this tarot,people don't see all the layers,and think it's a shallow one,"for kids"!They are stuck to the rider waite and can't escape.Maybe this tarot is more for intuitive readers,those who can see beyond appearance.

That's great that reader is able to get meaning from the deck. I like many of the images just wish there was a bit more symbolism. I don't really like the original Rider Waite deck myself but do like symbolism. I seem to be able to use certain oracle decks more intuitively...... maybe I should give the Good Tarot another shot! Messenger of Fire is my fave. But yeah it is really missing the symbolism with original tarot, it's more of an oracle deck but gorgeous - that's why I bought it. But it will be a challenge as I'm still learning the cards to apply my knowledge to these.

It is a beautiful deck but it's no tarot. Shame she did not stick to oracle making as I might have bought it as an oracle, maybe. The artwork is really beautful. Hay House has a way to sanatize things, like Lo Scarabeo removes sex organs from their decks. Barbie doll decks, lol

I felt with these cards that you need to go back to the actual classic tarot to make a reading, even tho the art the beautiful I feel that it is a bit difficult to work in a intuitive way with it... even the guide book is not very clear... what would you suggest in terms of tarot that would be more assertive to work with instead of the classic tarot?

Yes I think it's hard to use intuitively because some of the cards are so similar to each other and there's very little to no symbolism. When you say you want a deck that's more assertive........ not sure what you mean by that, one that is more clear? But you're wanting something different from classic Rider Waite? If you want something totally different, you could look at the Thoth kind of decks....... and then there are hundreds if not thousands based on the Rider Waite but with different art, some close to the original and some very different. Let me know what you're looking for and maybe I can give you some suggestions. Thanks for stopping by!

I love the art of this deck but i agree the deck just doesn’t resonate with me as im more traditional with the RWS. I really wish I could connect with it but I’ve never bought it for the reason I just don’t get it at all.

Hahaha yeah I don't think it's a deck for you! Not sure if it's a deck for me either (!) but I do love some of the pictures and I like handling the cards. I will maybe use it for one card pulls like an oracle or else I will just look at the pictures! :)

The deck is beautiful, but rather a bubble. RW is harsh but gives you stuff to say. Here what to say to a client? Fantasy and sweet talk? Perhaps it s good for a party, fun for guests.

I feel it's misleading calling it Tarot. Especially since many cards have very different images from RWS. If the book had tarot type definitions and went in-depth with chosen images then saying tarot feels correct. As an Oracle though I can read intuitively and do love the artwork. I love the dreamy angelic feel. As a deeply spiritual person I like that these have a higher energy vibe. I would love to see a Tarot book written to go with the imagery of this deck. Could be quite mystical if done well. Blessings.

Ms Raven, I am surprised Colette Baron Reid never capitalized, bringing out a "big book" to go with this deck, much like Doreen Virtue did with Angel Tarot. I have been putting off buying this deck for quite some time. Currently, I am selling some decks on eBay, including my Doreen Virtue decks, Angel tarot too. So, with my financial gains, i might just take the plunge and buy this. For me, as an intuitive reader, who really does not like RWS, this is a breath of fresh air for the tarot community, if only they/we, would get off our high horses and look/think outside the box, just like Colette obviously has. Her Wisdom of the Oracle deck is great too IMHO. The Good Tarot is a splice between oracle and tarot for me, more tarot than oracle for sure. My take on the RWS and the many many clones is this; It almost forces people to rely on "the meanings", regurgitating them, negating to relay on their intuition and own take. But that is a debate for another day and another place.

Do you mean if the Emporer, kings, or knights are represented as females? I don't mind that as long as the deck is balanced or it's a specifically gendered deck.

still there are only 8 men and 65 woman " not counting the buddah and animals. 😕 clearly the artist even changed the fool the hireorphant and the hermit into woman 🤔 very unbalanced. Very upsetting

The thing is, there's not a whole lot to study. There's no symbolism and many of the minor cards, 1-10 kind of look the same. It's very pretty though.
