Fellow Queenslander here. Hope you got your money back on that terrible concrete. I have to be honest. I have watched every episode and i spent the first few yelling at my tv to tear the dump down. But you have persevered and it’s starting to look great. Well done

I live in a tropical climate and we have to keep out dirt down to the foundations due to termites. We had to go all around the house and dig away the dirt up against the bricks away down to an inch below the start of the stab foundation.

What a nightmare for you. I would report the 1st concrete mob to Consumer Affairs. The REO should sit on reinforcing bar caps. Keep the water up with watering the turf for the next 7 days, especially if windy. But not too too much, you dont want it rotting.

FYI - the 2nd Concretor has installed the 75mm ableflex to the wrong height. The current installation now concrete abutting the brickwork below the Ableflex in effect nullifying the articulation from the home. Note - I am in Independant Inspector based in Victoria. This is a common defect I see when inspecting concrete preparation before pour.

Sad state of affairs when you get jerked around by so called professionals. First thing I noticed was rio sitting on the dirt. Didn't see a laser level anywhere, so I really hope the new contractors got the fall away from the dwelling. Look forward to seeing jetty upgrade

You did need turf and sprinklers for that lawn setting after all the years of soil being so weird. On jetty what will be the theme, jungle and palm tops or country cabin .
