Reese, I was watching a corn planter prep video the other day and the presenter stated that he would tweak the downforce for minor incremental depth changes rather than adjust individual depth handles. No clue as to right or wrong, just passing it along. It's a strange new world of parts and equipment (baby formula) Dennis. Glad you can maintain a sense of humor during the struggle! Finale scene!! My Sunday morning ritual after church is to watch your video that comes out in the morning. It was worth the wait to see another great video this evening. I really appreciate the work you put into it. I see the frustration in your dad but I think he’s handling well. He always says something nice about the support your Case IH dealer gives you. Here in west Tn we were heavy on pioneer for years up until the past three. We’ve always planted a mix of everything as we grow a fairly large corn operation (10k acres) and pioneer was the lowest yielding for us in those past three. We’ve gone completely Dekalb and DynaGro with our corn. Have had some of our best yields yet. Still grow some pioneer beans but in my neck of the woods Pionner has really fallen off

Dennis, we had two quarter mile T&L pivots. Hated those things. They are gone and we only have Valley and Zimmatic. If I had one to choose from it would be the Valley. They are more expensive but much better built. We have two systems that are almost 30 years old. We under hung them with poly 10 years go and we will run them till they either fall down or blow over. Which we’ve had that happen a time or two. And when they do? Will put in drip.

@@iversfarms to had more to my comment, we got a new 9520rx and put it on one of our 24 row deere planters set up with pression stuff and older 2020 monitor. Had a heck of a time getting stuff to work. Worse than when we had a cih 470 on the planter last 5 seasons. We're planning on rebuilding that planter this winter with all deere stuff and go high speed. Alot cheaper than trading for a new planter. Then we'll have spare parts for the other 24 row! We have an 8r410 on that on and had issues getting it to talk to each other too but that got figured out too. Like I said earlier lots of workin words! Hope you get finished up soon. I'm in Southern Minnesota, we got started late because of rain and wet, cold conditions then got dry. Finished corn yesterday 120 acres of beans left rained out today. The part about supply issues is so tragic! In my opinion it was intentional and orchestrated. Covid certainly had a human cost, (which may have been human meddling also), but the way people in governments globally caused the entire collapse of society and economy is inexcusable, and sadly unaccountable. For those who make the rules also administer prosecution. RIP once great republic 🙏 thank goodness no political elite were harm in the making of this disaster.
