One reactor commented: "After watching this I want to go out and do something heroic!" Personally, I've sat in the audience for many symphony performances in North America and here in South Korea, and it is always amazing to watch and listen to accomplished, talented, very educated musicians who have worked and studied for most of their lives to gain a place in an orchestra like this. Yes, I've attended many rock concerts as well, but its hard not to appreciate the degree of education, dedication and performance expertise on display in a symphony orchestra.

Most heartedly agree. My experience is limited to the Detroit Sympnony. Their free concerts in the park where amazing, because of the the responses of the small children there. Everyone should be so priveledged as to experience a real orchestra.

There are many videos of orchestras playing iconic movie and game music. Some prudish people might think it's stupid but honestly I think it's amazing celebrating music that's legitimately awesome. These pieces are iconic for a reason and I'm sure these players enjoy these performances as much as the audience.

Ennio Morricone was a master composer for both art music and movie scores. It's not only the music is a masterpiece, but also how it is used in the movies. You really should watch a movie with music from him and pay attention to matches of music theme/character or dramatic events. This adds so much to the scenes.

With your headphone you can appreciate the genius of Ennio Morricone who has created this music in the '60 using many beautiful effects (ocarina, traditional instruments, chores, strange noises, bell, sounds of animals -"wawawa" is a coyote- and soprano voice). The Danish Orchestra reproduces very well all this marvellous 'ensemble'.

Ennio Morricone is an Italian excellence who recently passed away, has composed hundreds of film soundtracks and received the Oscar for Lifetime Achievement before leaving he left the orchestral scores of some of his most beautiful soundtracks, such as the one here so well performed the Wua-Wua that often intrigues is the sum of the singer's voice and the sound of a harmonica, you can see it at 3.45 minutes of your reaction the soundtrack was composed in the 60s and there were no electronic distortion of the voice he liked to insert musical jokes with unusual instruments

The lady who sang "wah wah", her name is Tuva Semmingson, a classically trained singer in her own right, she sings everything from opera to standards to pop. A diva of the 1st class. If you look closely, for this concert she was wearing little six shooter earrings. PERFECT!!! I watched an interview with the two vocalists.Tuva Semmingsen AKA the Wah Wah Lady, as she has been called by the tube, actually likes being called the Wah Wah Lady. She couldn't believe how this performance took off on the tube. Christine Nonbo Andersen is the solo vocalist in the audience and it was her first solo too. This was her first performance with the Danish National Orchestra. Both ladies nailed their performances and added a stunning element to this Ennio Morricone masterpiece. Ennio Morricone was a composer of film soundtracks, where he used instruments and objects that are not normally used in an orchestral ensemble. Electric guitars, basses, ocarinas, bongos ... but also whips, gunshots, gusts of wind. Entering Morricone's work is a complete immersion. A moving tribute for fidelity down to the smallest details is what the Spaghetti Western Orchestra did to him. A Japanese conductor conducting a Danish orchestra in a rendition of a song written by an Italian for a film financed by Germans and shot in Spain about the American West

Not to take anything away from the excellent musicianship but these are professionals in a national symphony orchestra. I would expect nothing less than flawless playing.
@suntiger7453 жыл бұрын
There’s lots of layers of talent in this piece. First of course the original composer, Enrico Morricone, who was breaking some new grounds with the way he composed music for these western films. Then there is the person who made the particular arrangement, picking which pieces of music from the film to play and how they put them together into this piece. Next up is the conductor, keeping track of tempo and timing, giving cues to the members of the orchestra on when to come in etc. And then the performers, both vocalists and those playing instruments, all who are doing a great job with tone, timing and overall performance. Worth also is a nod to the stage crew and camera team. The backdrop is really nice, and the camera team switches shots very well without feeling that you miss something.
