This is still confusing to me. Some things are not clear: - The "free trial" takes place immediately after you sign up? If so, there's no way to just use the "free tier" and save your free trial for later, right? - After the free trial expires, you can use the free tier ONLY if you upgrade to a paid account? It seems to be the case, based on what is said at 3:00.

And Compute Engine offers discounts for sustained use of virtual machines. Your Free Tier use doesn't factor into sustained use. Google is really manipulative with Google Cloud Platform and I really do not like the way they have designed this free tier.

GPU option is disabled. In free tier / or trial period, one cannot use the GPU, and the trial period got reduced to 3 months only (not 12 months). Is it only applicable to India or followed globally?

But most importantly, if it were captchas all their servers would be used as it would be too easy to abuse the trial hence why using a card who is connected legally to a person is a much better way for verification.
