It is SO incredibly refreshing to hear these things from a devout Judea- Christian!! I have always had an interest in ancient pagan traditions, and in my experience, the vast majority of American christians think any discussion of pagan influence on early Roman Christianity is an insult and refuse to listen. How devout can a person claim to be if they refuse to even attempt understanding their own holy books?

Thanks so much, Michael! I was asking tough questions as a youth in Catechism class, and never got satisfactory answers - until I found your teachings many decades later. KJV Matthew has Yeshua sounding schizophrenic and Paul a babbling lunatic! "The Hebrew Yeshua vs. The Greek Jesus" saved my faith years ago and started a re-education program which continues. The Chronological Gospels are a "Must Have" in the personal library of every seeker of Truth(the introduction will provide the reader more knowledge of the Bible than most seminary graduates get in a lifetime). If you ever attempt to do the Pauline Epistles, everyone should keep this in mind; Reading Paul is like playing a game of JEOPARDY - We don't know the questions Paul is answering. Without a good grasp of the Torah of Moshe(the faith once delivered to the saints), we have no chance at winning the game. Paul came out of Phariseeism, or Rabbinic Judaism, and the early church schism was a confusion between what Moshe wrote(Written Torah) and the doctrines and commandments of men(Pharisee oral Torah). They confounded peoples understanding so much it continues today - my own family calls me a Legalist and a Judaeiser - but I neither advocate for Rabbinic Judaism nor follow the doctrines and commandments of men. They have confused Obedience (to God's Law) with Legalism (teaching as commandments the traditions and doctrines of men). Yeshua kept the Pure Torah (what King keeps the Laws none of His subjects are subject to?) The Bible indicates from cover to cover that if we are not grafted into Israel via The BRANCH, we have no part in the world to come. I like to call The Beatitudes 'tips for the Torah keepers'. I could go on and on, but hope this commentary helps someone else see The Light.

I’m enjoying your teaching - I know very little about Hebrew history, etc I do however know quite a bit about Celtic and Nordic pagan beliefs and practices, so if I may....Just a brief correction, Samhain is pronounced “sow-wane” and is the the Celtic harvest festival marking the beginning of winter. It was thought that “the veil” between this world and that of the spirits of the dead was thinner on this night. It was not a celebration of any “god of death”. There is no such entity in Celtic mythology though the Morrigan might be confused with such as she was associated war, fate and death in battle.

thank you, I know this all took a lot of work, I am a former Marine myself. My Black Friday was on Dec 16 2008. my m.o.s. was 0311. I have heard the samaramus/easter argument before as stated at 11:38 in this video. I attempted to look this information myself but was unable to find anything. At 17:40 the Scripture shows "YeHoVaH" as the spelling of Our Father's name. However, many many names in Hebrew use "yah" or "yahu" as a suffix to the name or noun, which I would assume is a reference to "YaHoVaH". Why is "YeH" used and not "Yah" in spelling Our Father's name?

I quit celebrating all three "holidays" LONG ago.... Christmas has always been particularly difficult, yet obvious. I always explained it this way, when asked... Imagine we change YOUR birthday. We are changing it to April 20th. Now we are NOT changing it arbitrarily. We are SPECIFICALLY changing it to April 20th in honor a person who was born in that day. That person is Adolf Hitler. I love this man, though ive disagreed with him on a few things that are very obvious. For example, Mr. Rood, the next time somone asks you about the " pretribulation rapture " and points to Matthew 24, talking about " two are in the field and one is taken... ", please point them to a verse just before that, where Yahsua said " immediately after the tribulations of those days ", instead of the horrible argument of people going to some feast day celebration, leaving the nonbelievers in the fields.

the new covenant is not the old one from sinai. The simplicity of the preaching of the good news that we are freed from that first covenant and now in a better covenant is not so hard to understand. We are DEAD to the covenant from Sinai. i think many start the bible from page one and never get to the end of the book. Look at Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, Colosians, and Hebrews. Jerimiah 31:32!

This read the beginning of The Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith's words. The Book of Mormon is the new Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you dont believe me read it and see, dont listen to those who are nah sayers form i say they have an agenda. Mr. Rood is amazing and a great teacher, thank you. The Book of Mormon is not an addition to the Bible it is only a testament and all LDS put the Bible 1st.

I've been a member of the Mormon church for 46 years. I know they don't put the Bible first they put the book of Mormon first! When the missionaries come out to teach the word of God they teach the book of Mormon they don't tell you to look up anything in the Bible or read anything in the Bible!!!
