As a veteran royale high player thats been playing since 2017. It saddens me to see what the game has become. I miss being in roleplays and occasionally seeing those players with the "most beautiful hybrid and popular girl in school/has a crush on jake", those were the good times. But now.....now its just about grinding, trafing, and seeing who's halo is better😔

Honestly it is rh’s fault. Think about it. The majority of GoT donations was from the fanbases of the big rhtubers like callmehhaley, leahashe and others. The entire callmehhaley and luke situation led to both their fanbases(even other rh ytbers) quitting the game/ boycotting. Also most rhtubers realised there’s nothing to make content on so they moved to other games like dti or mm2. Which is honestly sad cuz the one genuinely good thing about this game is now getting affected due to rh and their inability to think for a second.( i wish ppl wouldnt drag literal charity into the whole boycott thing but i cant blame them, its silly but almost everyones trust in rh is gone so) unless they acc do a 180 or sell the game to another person, Rh isnt making it through 2025 dead serious.

4:36 This also makes me mad. When the set first came out, I was sad that I had to pay robux for it that I didn't have BUT it was for a good cause which I thought was really sweet. So, I quickly let it go. As someone who has quite a few medical conditions that affect my daily life and the way I see life, I think giving money to charity was one of the nicest things Royale High has ever done. There's a difference between an overpriced doll that puts items behind an actual paywall, and something that is meant for charity purposes that will help those with life threatening medical conditions. People really need to get their heads out of their butts. As much as I don't like the doll sets, I'm not going to lump in the GoT set in with them. They were made with different purposes and should be treated as such.

As much as this charity is nice. It is very much a scam. I spent around $30 worth of robux this year and it says I only donated around $9. Most of the money you "donate" is going to roblox. That sounds about right. DevEx rates are utter garbage so Roblox is automatically taking a major percent for themselves charity or not (around 75%). The 9ish dollars is exactly what Royale High would receive meaning yes, it wouldn't be a for-profit fundraiser (assuming they're being truthful and not secretly pocketing some)

its the toys. I was a royale high player for years. like before the 2nd campus even released. There were very few controversies that they had were I saw the outrage being justified. A lot of the controversies they had were stupid and were made so big, because of impatient and entitled players. The dolls are what killed my support for the game completely. As an adult I played RH purely to create outfits, decorate the dorm, and collect items. I feel uncomfortable roleplaying with other players as they are most likely children. I typically liked making male outfits. So when Royale High decided they were going to demasculate the male bodies for what is essentially the female body with no chest. I was livid. It was one of the controversies I was entirely behind. Tbh I felt like people weren't mad enough. However I thought that eventually they are going to add the scaling system and so if I just keep collecting things then I will eventually get to use them on the outfits I want. I actually sang the praises of RH for being one of the few iconic roblox games that were not money hungry (As GOT was never money hungry, because it was for charity) Even the Valk set I wasn't even that upset over as it's a 50 dollar doll. I can just buy a single doll once for a set. However the real problem came when they just kept releasing more and more dolls with sets included. Especially when you had to go gambling with the locker toys to even get these miniature sets. I did the math and to purchase every single doll not including how much you would need to gamble, it would have been around 250 USD. That's WAY too much for me to justify spending on in game sets. Since as I've stated before. I'm an adult I don't play with dolls and I don't collect them. Especially what seem to be very cheaply made and low quality dolls. That would have been $250 gathering dust in my closet. It really put a bad taste in my mouth. Even then I was really contemplating quitting. Gave it a break and waited a bit. Came back after an update and they released a new set. That was only available to you if you bought ANOTHER doll. That's when I knew that I just simply couldn't support RH anymore. All throughout that time they didn't add the scaler for male bodies. They didn't add any new sets that cost diamonds. They added a single class that tbh. I have a hard time believing takes as long to make as it did. I wouldn't have minded these sets being doll exclusive really. If at the same time they were making updates they said they would, were updating the school regularly, and were making more sets that fit both female and male bodies that cost diamonds to get. I think the dolls are what really killed the game, because they even turned the most loyal fans and defenders against them.

If we're talking about items that u can buy with diamonds, It's because of the amount of toggles and details each items has, for example, If we compare the starlight set to the Starfrost set, there's gonna be an obvious difference. It's like comissions or hand-made items. They're going to be more expensive than what u could buy in the shop due to the amount of time, materials, and difficulty. But If we're talking about in-game items that require irl money... blame it on inflation and how greedy the devs (or barbie and launce) are.

I would not be surprised if some of the developers sold ingame items for irl currency on the side. There are alot of people willing to spend hundreds for accessories and the developers know how desperate players are for expensive things. They have access to everything in the game, so why not exploit their playerbase and inflate the values of everything? If they want unlimited diamonds or halos they can simply script the items into their accounts. It’s literally free money and nobody will ever know if they resell them on EBay. Might be the reason why they are so big on crosstrading and will ban any suspicious trades. It prevents players from ever questioning if they would do such a thing.

It’s sad to see the GOT fail to reach its goal, but we can only blame the developers. I was going to rant about everything RH needs to do and its comparison with DTI. But the truth is that the team is lazy, the game isn’t newer friendly, and role play is practically dead. If RH put some time into getting more staff, stuck to dead lines to get fun updates out, used social media platforms that majority of the community actually use (YT, Tiktok, Twitter), and LOWERS THOSE PRICES. Then the game would have a higher player base and they would have reach that goal. Edit. I don’t mean lowering the GOT set prices, i mean diamond stuff.

I get very sad at this topic, barbie works really hard with the maps and the active players are just 8-12k, while it was almost 200k. They made their mistakes of course, and got their consequences, but the doll thingy just made the situation worse tho, its mistake by mistake !! I do wish the Cancer awareness event went to reaxh it's goal and a set is released each time a goal is reached. I do believe that can bring motivation somewhat, as for RH as a whole, I do hope someone a dev anyone at least is able to provide some sort of "bring RH magic back" so the game doesn't keep dropping. RH won’t last any longer, for so many reasons but i feel like the most obvious is right there at the start of the video. Even youtubers who have careers revolving off of the game can’t support the game with their device, it makes it SO difficult to get into the game when you dont know how to play AND are walled with crazy lag. Even if you know how to play, are a veteran or a returning player, the lag is so annoying and just pushes you out of the game. This has been a problem for so long and it won’t stop. I don’t think RH can keep going like this.

The real problem is there aren't new players playing the game to contribute to the cause. The whole player base now only consists of older players who have already contributed to the cause, don't have any robux, or just already own the items, cause in the end people will only care about what you're getting, not what your contributing to! I do feel like Barbie has GOOD intentions for the game. I mean no matter what people say about RH, RH has always been inclusive and diverse, and probably has more variety than games like DTI. I mean hey, there are mistakes with the game but they could easily be fixed if the devs were to revamp the sets people have problems with and fix rather the main problems about the game first, and have small updates every 2 weeks. This is to revive their game and actually have people contribute to the causes. A partial reason is the dolls obviously, but we have to also notice the number of active players playing the game. Back then it used to be over 100k+ than, 25k+ but now it's barely 6k! The game needs a huge update to make new players and older players to come back to the game, and with a huge update I mean quests, lore, new free item rewards, add new items to the wheel, and increase the number of diamonds people with no gamepasses earn per level. The world building for RH has a lot of potential, like it's pretty but it's not using the world building in its advantage. Specially lore! DTI lore is what makes it unique and not just a fashion game. RH has soo much potential, they just have to use it right.

Rh has so much potential. Barbie needs to hand it over to someone who is willing to run this game. The reason it was so popular in 2020, 2021, 2022, etc. is BECAUSE They had a consistent schedule and interacted with their community. That’s why. If we have that again, then boom. People will start coming back! That’s why Royale high stayed afloat. That’s why we loved it! If we have that again then people would come back. But it’s so expensive now. The now randomly generated diamond farming too screwed people over anyways. Barbie needs to step down. I love this game too much.

rh is dying, i used to play it myself. it's gotten ridiculously expensive; sure farming got easier compared to before, but everything was still ridiculously expensive. this is part of the reason i quit, i couldn't get anything new because it was so expensive and i'm not good at farming. this was pretty much the entire reason I quit, but a small part of that reason is because my computer couldn't handle it anymore. i'm still surprised my computer didn't spontaneously combust the moment the game loaded.

I fr played 6 years won a halo finally had like four halos in my time playing but not at once and had a lot of game passes and KZbinrs badges! I’m so upset they failed me and us .. Not harsh at all! Its the hard truth alot of people cant accept. The main issue with Royale High is communication from the developers to the players! There are multiple instances, both major and minor but still notable instances of Royale High completely lacking communication with the Royale High community and its influencers!

As a RH player for 4 years, this is seriously sad for me to watch that people are leaving this game (including me). Everything have changed srsly. Mainly reason I quit RH is because of overpricing stuffs like c'mon now, getting diamond is so hard rn, even afk farming just aint gon work even for hours :/ plus the game are just too much for few devices which just made em crash (especially the campus 3 and 4). I feel like Royal high is just going downhill in it’s community. Like, dress to impress came out and not to long after there was that big thing where Callmehaley’s badge got removed and a lot of stuff was revealed. KZbinrs such as Callmehaley, and Leah Ashe then stoped playing royal high because of all the things the community wanted that they weren’t getting. This happened to be perfect timing too, because with dress to impress becoming so big, they had a game to lean back on for content as they drifted away from royal high. And even then, royal high continued with the dolls and more things the community was unhappy with. It’s sad because I still love royal high as a game and miss when people could just be happy playing it.

I also feel like the barrier to entry to play Royale High is far too high for a new player, to get what people would consider ‘good items’ is far too time consuming. I honestly think RH needs new ownership if Barbie wants the game to be around by this time next year. I understand she does the game for enjoyment reasons, which is honestly a really good mindset for creating games!! But the way she goes about it is why the fanbase is left rotting, and as consequence is basically non-existent. She's earnt a lot of money from the game to help fund these big ideas she wants- particularly in the early 2020s -but is neglecting the needs and ideas of both her dev team and fanbase to achieve them. She isn't receiving nearly enough support to keep going through with this idea of "I don't care about the money I earn, I'll do what I want! :D" This feels harsh to say, but its a truth that both Barbie and the fanbase need to accept. She either needs to sort out her dev team a bit and focus more on the fanbases wants, or just entirely sell the project to a new person/team. She could still be involved in the latter idea, too (depending on some things ofc.) Idk it just feels unreal to me that she says RH is a passion project and she wants both what's best for the game and her personal desires for it, but then for the past almost 2 years has only made decisions that continue to hurt the game. The only other developer I've see ruin a popular game to this scale is the developer of Class 09 series, and he admitted he sabotaged his content to drive away people in the fanbase who he didn't like. It isn't a good outlook when the fall off of your game is comparable to someone who admits he PURPOSEFULLY did it by taking a direction he knew the fanbase would hate.

My opinion : I know the GoT charity event did much better last year than 2022 But despite that it clearly shows how many players gave up on the fundraiser event this year and it is not so surprising that it failed (in my opinion) With the release of overpriced dolls for set items and the literal posey set on the same day as the GoT event ut is clear how embarrassing it is for the devs this time and they prob dont even realize it 1 the company they are forcefully partnered with is supporting a war 2 the items are expensive and releasing so many darn toy sets is absurd for free to play and company boycotters And 3 september is the month that the charity event happens Them releasing the posey set on the same day as the charity event clearly shows how 'mature and amazing' their mind works Im pretty sure we did not even make it half way this time And ever since the toy sets and problematic drama with the rh team it is clear that most of the players dont care about rh anymore and switched to games like dti and so on

Well, the problem is kinda of Royale High's fault. You gotta remember that content creation is these people's job and how they pay rent so if they want to make money the obvious choice is to play a game that's way more popular than Royale High. I think if Royal High listened to their community and changed some stuff people would come back and it wouldn't be dying anymore so then the content creators could make more Royale High videos. Also, there are barely enough updates in Royale High, and content creators usually make a lot of videos on updates.
