@@michaeladams2077, i watched it a few more times, he was lugging in. The jockey was hitting him left-handed and trying to keep him straight. Fyi: jockeys are allowed to use their whip only 6 times during a race.

Haha you don’t have a clue! He’s a a colt ungelded. A 3 year old and. Only 3 year olds can race in the Kentucky derby. He blew the field away but Dornoch had more in him, Leone was green a bit but was also being pulled instead of just riding the horse. Look at the difference between the two jockeys down the stretch. Leone already gliding no need to press more unless he slowing down. Leone may get revenge though with an inside trip to save ground tomorrow ?

He only ran 2 times , take a breather
