Great video! I've got a 2014 209 Fisherman. So was nice to see a similar boat & vintage.

I like the Fisherman better. The little cabin always seemed like it took up too much space. It's still a Grady White so I wouldn't complain if I had one. 😅

Ugh! This is the exact boat I own (mine's a 2021). These boats are $100K+. Can't believe people don't take care of their boats! Great video Justin!

I see it all the time. They either sit to much or they don't get the care they need. Cool boat and thank you. 😊

Bet you fit in to the 10% Sigma Male category. I used to say I can fix anything with nothing. Now I just say I don't want to fix anything, leave it to the young guys.

I never really thought about that but all signs point towards it. I never thought I fit into a category but that is basically me in a nutshell 😂

Had over 175 guys work for me over the years, only about 10% were mechanical enough to train, 5 went on to great things. We are few and far between

Great work we need a good boat mechanic in WestHavrn CT. And a better boat Ramp that's 6 ft deep at low tide instead of Mud

That 208 was my first Grady White…never should’ve sold that boat! The cabins are way more functional when the filler cushions are left home.you can walk down there-get changed-get out of a storm. I almost just bought another one a few weeks ago and the guy sold it before I could get there and see it.Most come out of the factory with a 150hp on them and NO HARD TOP.The one I just missed had the Hard top and a 150.That boat needs at least a 200hp as my old one had(Salt water series_-(OX- 66) Yours had the 250hp-even better.

I did see the toilet and extra room under the bed. It's still a Grady so I am not complaining 😊. I have just always preferred the center console.

@@JustinLeeMarine Justin--when you live in the NE and your fishing in December-having that cabin and full enclosure under that hard top is a beautiful thing.Even in the summer gives the wife and daughters a place to change and pee. The people who own this boat your working on need to store most of their crap at home and reduce the clutter.}

I have a 208 Adventure and yes, I bought it because I had a small child and like his mother, they were and still are fair skinned. Me, I love the sun and I'm always tanned. My Grady has a 200hp Yamaha 2 stroke and I wonder how a 250 4 stroke would work out on the thing. I wonder if it would be noticeably too heavy.
@lon5793 Жыл бұрын
29 mph with a 150 4 stroke, need more?

@@lon5793 Right now I get 43 mph with my 2 stroke Yamaha Saltwater Series 200 hp.

DO keep weight in mind, one guy I know put on a big boy, and his scuppers ended up under water. Now, he is defeating a major safety feature, which is water leaving the boat--a good thing. It is GOOD you are thinking about that now, instead of after the major weight gain. Good luck, stay safe--and always, always check your thru full fittings and inspect your seacock, twice per year at least. No bilge pump--or two bilge pumps can keep up if you have a failure there. Safe boating.

That’s a lot of motor for that little GW. It must jump out of the water and fly.
@JustinLeeMarine2 жыл бұрын
You are correct. They usually have a 200 four cylinder on them but sometimes the customer wants more power😅.

@@JustinLeeMarine for me Dry Weight divided 10 = Motor HP needed !!! It is a REAL BOAT, in my Opinion!!!!

Chill intro😄Great work fixing all this stuff. It’s almost ASMR to see you do this😉. First I thought you where out just having fun in a boat there, 10 years back… than i saw 👀 the toolbox on the floor and, well.. there’s always work when you do boating I guess 🥲

I hope this is not the beginning of quality issues at Grady manufacturing. Maybe this one sat out in the sun--and maybe no boat can handle it. It's just that for the money, it doesn't seem like we should need to glue down a rail strip. The note to Grady is clear, DO charge a lot (check, no argument there from Grady) but double DO, maintain the quality--in design and in execution. DO remember there are other fine boats--you don't want to get to the point where people say "they are great boats--the old ones". Being one of the best, or THE best does not maintain itself.
