This episode reminds me that Liam Neeson was completely robbed of his rightfully earned Oscar win for Schindler's List...it doesn't take a Steven Hawking level intelligence to recognize that Liam's portrayal of Oscar Schindler was unsurpassed in it's level to commit to the charactor in the film..and Mr. Neeson literally could not have ( nor could any other actor, for that matter ) done a better job of playing that tremendously brave and compassionate man on screen.
@beardedchimp Жыл бұрын
His performance in Schindler's List which I watched near release is the only film that not only brings me to tears but leaves me in hysterics for a good half an hour. I've watched it several times but I struggle to watch it again. I know I will not only be crying uncontrollably but that it will seriously effect my emotional disposition for the next week. My little sister told me that when she watched it in the 90's (they would often broadcast it in two parts) she inadvertently watched the second half first, then the first half and was really confused. When she watched it again in the right order she was in tears for hours and hours.

I love this show, and I love Graham... but also this interview it strikes me how hard it must be to be a woman in acting. I watched this wanting to see Anna talk and she got to say maybe three things... and each time she was given the chance, they would cut to Eddie or bike guy. She's HILARIOUS and they have no idea anything about her from this show. They drop the "you were on Broadway at 12" thing so they can have Eddie dance like a goon? No... go ahead Anna, tell us again what it's like to have to sit through a talk show as an accessory AND she is the most gracious person about it. He's usually super good about being inclusive with everyone, but every so often he drops that ball big time.

I’ve seen this episode before and it’s still shocking a photo of someone crashing into a pole is shown as a funny anecdote. Liam Neeson’s *edit: wife* died after crashing into a tree only a few years before this was taped.
@poohspaws89766 жыл бұрын
This Face Believes You You forgot the word “wife” in your sentence. Now it looks like you are saying that Liam Neeson has died himself, and then somehow came back :-). Natasha Richardson’s death was so tragic. I remember she was skiing and fell and walked away from the fall declining medical intervention. Then later on in the hotel she complained of a headache, and it turned out her brain had started to swell. By the time she got to the hospital it was too late. Wish she would have gotten checked out right away. So very sad. I agree with you that the joke about someone crashing into a pole was inappropriate and especially insensitive, given the history of Liam’s wife’s cause of death.
@thisfacebelievesyou88626 жыл бұрын
Nikita Cavalier Oops, thank you for the heads up : ) Natasha Richardson’s death was tragic, but the coverage of it actually saved at least one life. A few days after that a young girl had a nearly identical accident. Her parents saw all the coverage about Richardson’s death and took her to the doctor just to be safe.
@poohspaws89766 жыл бұрын
This Face Believes You that is amazing! I didn’t know about the little girl, but that is so great that people are more diligent after her story. It happened to me once, I fell back on black ice onto the back of my head, and I got checked out only because I remember her story.

It probably does literally exist but it isn't something I'd heard of until I worked with Americans about 10 years ago. As someone pointed out, we have the ingredients - you can definitely buy bags of dried fruit and mixed nuts. Apart from not being sold (not widely, anyway) as 'trail mix', we don't instantly think of 'dried fruit and mixed nuts with extra stuff' as what we would take on a long drive/hike etc. I guess people would pack sandwiches, fruit, chocolate bars and other snacks etc. So, if you want to put a trail mix together in the UK you would have no problem. However, the reaction of Eddie Redmayne is probably fairly typical of most people in the UK on hearing the phrase 'trail mix'.
