I believe many directors embrace the art of film and storytelling but not like Wes anderson. Wes anderson has such a unique way of directing that by looking at one frame of one of his movies you can tell it's a Wes anderson film.

This movie is so unrealistic but fun and in some point it is brutally realistic like in the ending
@tjt50554 жыл бұрын
It's not unrealistic, it's surrealistic.

It has so many layers of storytelling that it becomes fantastic, openly flawed memory something which isn't around anymore.

@@tjt5055 Totally true. That's what I love about it. Some scenes are brutally realistic, others are so surreal that they almost become comedic.

It's meant to be unrealistic, because it's what the reader of the book is conjuring and imagining in their mind as they read the story.

I absolutely loved this movie, as well as all his other movies I've seen. I believe people who find his movies too sketchy and impersonal don't pay a whole lot of attention to them. Stylizing and detaching certain aspects from reality does not necessarily affect the human aspect of a story. I would even say that sometimes it helps to elevate the humanity within it and makes it easier to spot and appreciate.

I also think, especially in Grand Budapest Hotel, it would be stupid for the story to be mostly realistic and not as stylized; it's all how Zero remembers it, he's telling his subjective version of the story. Kind of like 500 Days of Summer. I love these kinds of movies.
