Some recent good news is Long Beach has been secured for the long term on the calendar. Gerry Forsythe who used to own Forsythe Racing in the 90s/2000s (the iconic Players Blue livery) bought the rights to the race and said it's not going anywhere. There was doubt due to the rights to the race being held by the estate of late Kevin Kalkovan (Aussie billionare who owned KV Racing) looking to make a real estate development deal with the local government which would bring an end to the track.
@matthewnield30859 ай бұрын
Yeah the schedule is a little screwy, the main reason they have that 1 month gap is everyone heads up to Indy to do the first of the FIVE test they get for the 500 which is next month, and the track is either in use or being prepped for the 500 the weeks before, so this is the only time they have to get up there and do their test runs...they get the last 1 week of indy before qualifying
