Unfortunatley there isn't any real video of the 2nd/3rd incarnation actually playing, they were backed in the studio by the Wrecking Crew, whether with Creed or Dennis, but the vocals are key, it was them singing. Every clip of them seems to be tv shows and they faking to the record.

Rob Grill and the Grass Roots. Obviously Rob was the Grass Roots for many years. The driving force that kept the music out front on tour for all of us to enjoy every summer. He is surely missed by all of us who loved the songbook of the Grass Roots. You were the Man Rob, rest in peace brother. You are not forgotten. Thank you.

I was very fortunate to be there at this concert in Baltimore Maryland. Grass Roots my all-time favorite group, Rob Grill my all-time favorite singer. (And nobody can replace Warren Entner's essential vocal parts, including Rob. Same with Dennis Provisor's parts)) Rob was in great form and voice that night. Of the many times I've seen them in concert, this was one of only two times I saw them with a horn section. That is a real treat they sounded a lot more like the records. At this show the horns were much more audible in person. After the Tv part ended, the Grass Roots did about 4 more songs, just for us! It was a great night

Lot of us were carried through listening to these songs and hanging on to hope. Thanks for all the amazing songs they made. I don't understand why these guys have not made it to the Rock Hall of Fame. I know they wrote 29 songs if not more which was truly amazing for back in the 60's and 70's. Temptation Eyes is my favorite song. Anyone else listening that shared Vietnam with me? I was a 91B20 Medical Specialist.

Dusty Hanvey is an excellent guitarist. I saw the group about 15 years ago at Sea World in San Antonio, when the park was still doing classical rock shows. During the introductions Rob Grill mentioned that Hanvey was related in some way to the actor Joel McCrae (spelling?) who did a lot of westerns. If you look at an old photo of the actor you'll see the resemblance.
