Lamont, you’re historically hysterical! 😂 I’ve been to the ranch and took the tour. I found it funny that he would watch three TVs, one for each network during the news. If there was something said that he didn’t like, he would call them and make them change the story. I guess it was the first operation Mockingbird tried. Great video!

@@FascinatingGraveyard You had to take the tour through the ranch house where he lived, to get that info. I don’t know if you could read that anywhere or it would be hard to find. The original TVs were still in the house by the dining room table. He sure was a weird character.

Hi Lamont 👍thanks for covering this. Studied archives, read multiple memoirs. When she was asked by Lady Bird if she wanted to change her outfit she replied “No, I want them to see what they did to my husband”. There is a photo of LBJ on Air Force One looking back over his shoulder to US Rep Albert Thomas (D-TX) and he receives a wink and smirk from him in some kind of confirmation. Whatever it is was disrespectful and just plain ugly in light of our poor First Lady standing right next to him in mourning.

Unknown fact. He dropped out of College and went to San Francisco to study art. He befriended a little known writer at that time named John Steinbeck and among others became somewhat of a Bohemian before returning to Texas to finish college. When the son of John Steinbeck got drafted and was about to be sent to Vietnam, LBJ personally intervened and that soldier was sent elsewhere.

Please advise how you know this, if you would be so kind. The best authority I ever read on the subject is Robert A. Caro, and he starts his first of four volumes going back at least 100 years before Johnson’s birth in 1908. He’s presently working on the fifth volume, at 87 - and has been working on it since 2012 when volume four came out. The series is called “The Years of Lyndon Johnson” and tells not only about Johnson, but the history of what was taking place during his lifetime.

Hey! I love your informative video. I've never really been a fan of LBJ. I felt he was a rough man. I remember seeing a picture of him when I was a child, picking up his Beagle dogs by their ears. That sealed the deal for me. Those cement squares that he had his guests sign was a really clever idea. I always admired Lady bird. She seemed like a real lady, and they had 2 beautiful daughters. His worse deed was to keep the Vietnam War going so long. My cousin suffered from PTSD because of his time in the war and never got over it.

Interesting thing that my grandmother told me. My Dad was born in 1929 and grew up in Kansas. By 1954, he moved to Dallas. In the late 1950's, Grandmother came to Dallas to visit her son and Dad was at that time a young businessman in Dallas. He picks her up at Dallas Love Field airport and LBJ was there. She tells Dad, "do you know who that is? He plans to be the next President." Dad, who really cared not much for politics at the time said, "yeah. So what. Let's get your luggage."

Back in the 70s if he went teeny town around there and mentioned his name even the old people would spit on the ground. President Johnson made some really good decisions to help our Nation. Unfortunately, the war in Vietnam wasn’t one of them. Too many young lives were lost for nothing. Instead I like to focus on his positive achievements that the current GOP is trying to reverse on a daily basis. These safety nets are important to many Americans.

The mid-60s was when the Democrats started reaching- out to illegal aliens, behind the Democrats never-ending quest to be the sole political power. 1965- was when The surviving Kennedys ( mainly Teddy) pushed through the immigration reform act. The Kennedy's openly started reaching out toHispanics- once blacks "overcame". Today you're one of these people who apparently can't even do the simple math & realize how much more you're paying for everything since your idiot has been in office these last 2 years. It's not the multi-millionaires that are bankrolling illegal aliens, It's people like you, my useful idiot- "TOOL".

Well, as a person of color, some of his policies and outbursts don't sit right with me. He made sure that the civil rights act was released. On the other hand, the programs he put forward only limited my people to achieve the "American dream." Instead of giving free programs that you know that minorities would rely on constantly, it should've been more education and technical opportunities implemented in that plan. It seemed like he wanted to keep blacks and other minorities in their place with these programs. When you say things like, "by the time I'm outta office, I'll have every negro voting Democrat lol" tells me that you knew it was easy to manipulate minorities at that time. But it is what it is 🤷🏾‍♂️

My father was a flight engineer with the 89th Airlift wing in the mid to late 90s (the Squadron which fields air force one and two). When I was a kid I got a personal tour of SAM 26000, which was the plane that LBJ was sworn in on and JFK's body was returned to Washington upon. Upon the plane's retiring, my father lost a coin toss with a buddy to transfer it to Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio. So instead, he slipped his personal card behind the FE's panel so, in essence, he'd be with that plane forever

LBJ held the record on dead folks, people not eligible to vote for many reasons... voted for him from jails, prisons, and grave yards every election he ran. Many affidavits have come up stating such..at the time of his presidency a few cases of affidavits came to light and those people had to vote for his reelection from the grave yard if you feel me. I remember this election as a young teenager and what I recall is President Kennedy selected Johnson as his V.P. because Kennedy needed Texas to win the election. One of the reasons Kennedy even returned to Texas when he was murdered, for the votes and support. It is also a theory that the government had something to do with President Kennedy assassination and the mafia, you should do a story on this one Lamont and the miracle bullet. Even today I believe there was more than one shooter, and one did come from the mound. Keep up the magnificent work Lamont and let us all remember history and let's not bury the statues.

Hi Lamont! I really enjoyed this video. I have been up to the ranch and taken the tour. There was that story that he had some sort of car that could go on the roads and float in the Pedernales river as well. My dad was on duty as an Air Traffic controller in San Antonio on the night he passed away. I remember him calling my mom and letting her know that the breaking news that evening would state that former President Johnson was being flown to San Antonio for emergency medical care. My dad told my mom not to listen to that story because his plane had already landed at the airport and Lyndon Baines Johnson was already deceased. It was a matter of protocol to bring him to the nearest major hospital for declaration of death. In addition JFK had been riding around in a limo here in downtown San Antonio they day before he went to Dallas. Senator John Connally of Texas was also shot in the limo that day in Dallas but survived. Connally died much later and is buried in the Texas history cemetery in Austin, TX. Thanks for visiting my neck of the woods.

Just want to say thank you for having a great KZbin channel. I’ve been watching your videos for about a year now and find your information on various graves very informative I especially enjoyed learning the information you had on Wendy’s co-founder Dave Thomas, had I not watched your channel I would have never known about how he started out. There’s no doubt he was very intelligent in what he created which was Wendy’s. May he and his wife lay in peace. And thank you for doing a great job in informing us on all the great info him. “ I have learned from you today” thank you and stay safe out there.

Lamont my great grandparents came to the United States from Yugoslavia in the late 1800’s early 1900’s and they were treated badly because they couldn’t speak English. My grandfather was a few months old his first name was Bronco and that was a common name from the area he came from and because of the way he was treated he had our family call him John and I never knew his real first name until after he died.

Lamont: The limousine Kennedy rode in on that fateful day was a 1961 Lincoln X-100. I have a model of it. I have a different perspective of the swearing in photo with Johnson and Mrs. Kennedy now. It is "chilling" as you say because it must have been a slap of reality the death of her husband as she witnessed the transfer of power from her now dead husband to Johnson. Finally, Johnson was known to use his physical size to intimidate. Hubert Humphrey commented about that by his personal experience.

Right, and it was that Lincoln that was flown back to the plant that night to have the windshield replaced and flown to DC to be in the ceremony, because they did not want anyone to see the hole in the windshield that came from the real killer and not come from the 6th floor School Book Depository.

@@williamfulgham2010: I've never that about the windshield. Where did you get this information? It seems so crucial.

@@fifty9forty3 I have seen that piece of information from several different sources over the last 20 years or so. Someone at the Lincoln plant has testified somewhere in the past, that the limo came in at night and was quickly repaired and flown to DC. A nurse at Parkland Memorial, happened to be outside when the limo came in and she saw the hole. As soon as JFK was taken into Trauma room 1, the Secret Service surrounded the limo and prevented anyone from taking photos. However some have appeared in recent years. As we all realize, many books have been written from many different sources over the years, and now that the Internet has become so widespread, more is being revealed. We can really thank Elon Musk for stepping up-and-doing what he did to help protect the 1st amendment by blowing the whistle on the Deep State coverups.

@@williamfulgham2010: I've read books and articles on the assassination, and I don't know what to think of this, mainly because so many theories have been offered. Lately it has been said a plot by the CIA. Oswald himself claimed he killed no one, and was being used as a "patsy", and so he had to die. If the windshield bullet hole story is factual, you'd think whomever was chosen for the deed would have been a world champion sharpshooter, and how could such a precision shooter make such a mistake? I can't imagine it was intended to pass through the windshield. It all seems possible but implausible. Kind of like time travel. Thanks for that interesting information.

Johnson got kickbacks from pushing military contracts through Congress. He was expected to refuse the position of VP, but he didn't. Bobby tried to talk Lyndon out of it. In Dallas, LBJ rode a couple of cars behind and actually hit the deck in his car before the bullets were fired. LBJ needed to get Jackie away from her husband's casket in the back of the plane.

JFK did not need LBJ. His family was part of the Irish mafia. And they use those ties to get the other mafia families to get him elected. Also, as far as LBJ is concerned, they always said that more people in the cemetery voted for him every time he was up for election of anything. That was the first time I ever heard that being a child of the 60s.
