Hi Scott, this is Sam's cousin and I just watched this video again after a year and I had forgotten that you put the rock on his tombstone. I have been thinking about taking a trip to see them all, it's been to long. I want to thank you again for such a beautiful tribute to Sam and the family. God bless.

Scott, thank you for this beautiful tribute to Sam.. I was at that church the day of his service and seeing it brought back so many memories, I remember standing on the corner facing those steps and surrounded by a 6 foot fence and security to keep others out. I have Sam's final serman on cd as well as others. I was just thinking about making another trip to Tulsa to see him, aunt Florence (his mom), Kevin and Richard. Growing up we attended the church they had in East Peoria Illinois, we would often get into trouble because we would stay downstairs and play while the main service was going on and if we got to loud aunt Florence would come down and tell us we were all going to end up in the front row if we didin't quiet down lol.. Miss those days and all of them.. Thank you for reminding me of the memories... God bless.

Such a shockingly sad end. Never forgotten. RIP Sam Kinison

R.I.P. I had the privilege of seeing him on the stage with a group of Army buddies in 83' at The Comedy Corner in Colorado Springs, CO. It was before he was really famous. That night he was in the company of Roseanne Barr, Bobcat Golthwait, Louie Anderson, Tim Allen, Andrew Dice Clay, Sinbad and some others whose names escape me. Sam and Roseanne were standing near the rear door and I had some brief parting praise for them. Sam chatted briefly with me and asked if I enjoyed the show. The funniest time I ever had. That's still true and it's 2024! What luck for a $5 Cover charge and we sat stageside at a table!

So hearing his preaching has me in tears right now. I wish he could have been around to see my daughter. 30 years later and seeing his grave for the 2nd time. This loss doesn't hurt any less. I could really use his wisdom right now. Wherever he is, I hope he knows how much I love and miss him.

I saw Sam Kinison in a VERY small comedy club in Colorado Springs just before he hit BIG time. Everywhere in the club, there were notices that this guy was pretty raunchy and that no refunds would be given. There were flyers on the tables of the club. There were announcements a few times before he came on that he might be offensive to some. I thought it was pretty overboard, but when he came on stage.....WOW. So many people walked out in spite of the warnings. Oh well- my friend and I stayed, and we saw one heck of a show from him, along with an audience of about maybe 25-30 at that point. What a great memory. Rest in peace, Sam Kinison.
