I bought mine about 2 months ago from Amoeba on ebay - They don't come by so often but definitely worth having in your collection.

OMG this is amazing. I still can't believe this many years have past. I remember back in 93/94 when I had just turned 21 we were going to see The Grays anytime we could. They came through Chicago several times on that tour. I think I saw them at least three or four times. They did a meet and greet at Hard Rock Cafe (maybe they did a show as well there, can't remember, but I know they played Schubas and Metro) and Jason was always so incredibly kind (as were all the guys) and Jason had called my friend and I, "Honorary Grays Members" because we never missed a Chicago show and we sort of followed them around. They were just amazing live and who knew at the time what visionaries they would become. Jon Brion, Jason, and Roger are all so highly acclaimed and Dan is A&R for EMI I believe? I never knew what became of Buddy though. But this was a BAND. They were just awesome.

This is wild...25 years! I remember buying this album when it came out. The melody of this song was just in my head today, so I had to look it up on the KZbins 😂 glad I did.

I have had some requests for ‘who is who’. Buddy Judge is on the left with the white shirt and vest. Jason Falkner is in the middle with the goatee black shirt and Jon Brion is long haired in the yellowish shirt at the far right. And Dan McCarroll is on drums.

Jon was possibly the best guitar player I’ve ever heard and here he is on bass. Listen to his solos on the 1982 LP “How pop can you get”. Brilliant.

Thanks so much for uploading all these Grays videos. Saw 'em in 1994 when they opened for Toad The Wet Sprocket in Philly... and that was my first real concert, so technically The Grays were the first band I ever saw play live. And how great is it that their songs still stand the test of time and I love them as much as I did back then, after the concert when I bought the CD, and I had never heard of them before that night. Thanks again.

Found this song by accident one night on Yootubz, as you do. Have loved it for two years. Recently saw a copy of the album of eBay. Waiting for it to arrive. This is my fave until it arrives: O_O hurryuphurryuphurryup

The ultimate lost Pop Song......

I had heard the broke up because the band were getting a little upset that their manager wanted more of Jason’s songs, which caused a rift which is really a shame! They’re all great, though I prefer Jason’s solo albums, every song in this album is great!

Thanks for uploading this! Great! Definitely one of the best Jason Falkner projects, and a shining moment in power pop. I loved this album then, and I love it now.

Which one is Jon Brion?
@robertconnolly98125 жыл бұрын
He is stage left with the Gibson with cutaway (wearing the vest)
@filmmadman5 жыл бұрын
The vest wearing guitarist is Buddy and the long hair in his face guy on the right (who is mostly hidden) is Jon Brion.
