I just want to say that I absolutely love your channel! I love how cute you are Mrs. H.. You love the animals, and I love how you joke around with them and also your hubby. I love how your handsome hubby, Mr. H., helps you in all things gardening, you're respectful interactions, and it is VERY apparent that you both love each other VERY much! Even though you live much farther South than me here in Buffalo, NY, I value your advice and expertise on many things. I myself have been gardening since I've been 4 or 5, and I will be 55 this year. We are always learning as gardeners, aren't we? Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I adore you both. You have become my favorite gardening channel because you keep it real, and I love watching you both be cute and silly too. Please keep bringing this beautiful content. I love you both. Peace and blessings to you both!❤

My mama taught me about Cushaws. She found some seeds in an old country feed and seed! We planted them and boy was that some GOOD earring! She said that the seeds were hard to find! I have to order mine online! I didn’t get to plant them this year because my cousin who helped me plant the garden passed last year and I had some health issues. But next year I will plant mine!!! My mama passed in 2021 so you brought back memories for me today being in the garden with her and enjoying the fruits of our labor! Thanks so much!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏾💯

@@jennbama thank you! I will! That’s how I learned to garden; being outside with my mama and my grandma! We always had a garden and what we didn’t grow, we picked it out of somebody else’s garden or went to the farmers market! But my mom and grandma always tried to make sure we had Fresh vegetables and fruit to eat!

After the hardship i went trough the past year and a half , these video's really lift up my spirit! My expartner and I wnet bankrupt with our business... the relationship failed while i was pregnant and now a single mom to a beautiful baby boy.... Lost our home... and where i Live now i cant grow my own food... i do grow my own herbs because i know how packed they are with vitamins and i grow like al lot of microgreens in my kitchen for extra nutritional value... we do try and count our blessings each day and thank God that we are still here and are rebuilding our lives slowly but steady.... I just wanted to say thank you... Your videos Mrs and Mr H. really lift me up when i am feeling heavy hearted and your succes feels like my succes... and i know that there must be more viewers out there that pull strength from these video's... So without you probably realizing... you guys make such a difference in my life ... thank you so much!! I love you guys so much!! God Bless 😘😘😘

I'm from Louisiana as well. Never had a cushaw pie but sounds great! I remember as a child my mom cutting them, scoring the flesh and baking them in the oven with butter and sugar. I remember scraping the rind with a spoon trying to get the last bit. So yummy. I am so happy to see them grown on here and meeting others who remember cushaws from childhood. ❤

Good to see you guys are continuing heirlooms. Please please save the seeds and either sell or pass them around. In rough times this type of food can be priceless. Wish I had a garden like yours. God bless and a bountiful sowing and reaping to you. Greetings from south jersey. I never get results like you guys cause I have to many white pine trees and don’t want to cut them down. So I use what parts of the yard I can. This yr is not happening due to health issues but some stuff reseeded itself so I still get the benefits. Be well. ❤️👍🏻💪🏻🖖🏻🙏🏻🙋🏼‍♀️🐾🐾🐾

We had an amazing harvest! We planted 8 seeds and harvested 25! We gave several away and canned 1, which gave us 5 quarts! We've only cooked one and fed my husband and I and my oldest son's family of 7! We ordered our seeds from you. We love watching you and Mr. H! We are in Hogansville, GA, about 100 miles north west of you all. Our largest Cushaw was: 23.4 lbs. 24" long 33" circumference I just sent you an email with pics. I emailed earlier, but just realized I sent to a wrong email address, so I resent it today.
