Its such a tough job being a care giver. The disease gets worse and worse. Both of my husbands parents went to a nursing home. It was horrible at the end. We could not do it 24/ 7. You do a terrific job. People who don't walk in your shoes have no idea how tough it is.

@@boulevard14 she does live in the area and goes out for lunch every week with them. My dad died of dementia but was very quiet and not deaf. Grandpa Ed is very high maintenance but would drive anybody crazy 24 hours a day especially with all the roaming at night that Danielle has to deal with.

@lyndabelknap8367 As far as I'm aware, she does live in the North Cal/Sacramento area, but not specifically in the Elk Grove area. Besides, it's clear that the family arrangement has already been agreed by all family members for Ed to live with Dan and Mark. Dan currently only works part-time and Danielle is an at-home wife, while Mark is divorced and has work flexibility. Sis likely has a full-time job and has kids and grandkids of her own to take care of. Just because she doesn't make videos and offers a room for Ed, doesn't mean she doesn't put the effort it.

I started buying David's (husband) clothes for him when we moved into the city and retired from farming. He was going to work, he switched to his major in IT, in plaid shirts and blue jeans. The ladies at work appreciated it. Now that he is retiring in a month, I again bought his clothes for moving to BC and retiring. More of the, I belong in the trees and drinking beer at hockey games, look. I hope sleep was better last night. Be well.
