The loudest message from the man of silence. We are all brothers and sisters with one home, Earth. We are manipulated by the powers that be...........and religious division is their main weapon. While " belief " systems flourish, logic and reasoning diminishes.
@mysterymeyhem
@mysterymeyhem 7 жыл бұрын
Here we go again...while, yes, religion can divide people, that doesn't mean every religious person in the world believes the same exact things and acts the same exact way. I'm religious and don't care what your sexuality, race, gender, or anything else for that matter is, you're a human being, I'll be your friend and love you unconditionally because that's who I am. It's how my family is too. I hate whenever someone goes by the logic of "Well this group of people is racist/homophobic/sexist/violent," therefore all associated people like them are. It's just dumb. Not you, but the general way of thinking that many people, at least in the US, seem to go about these days. As long as someone is kind, I'd graciously accept them into my life. Even when it comes to religion, i could not care less if you're Atheist or have a different religious belief. In the grand scheme of things, it does not matter, and unless you're one of the religious or Atheist people who constantly forces your beliefs down someone's throat, it does not matter. That being said, yes, this speech is incredible. It's very much possible for logic and reasoning to be alive and well, even with religion around. It depends on the mind behind the person as to how much logic and reasoning prevails. Like you said, we're all brothers and sisters and to let someone else's beliefs get in the way of loving one another is dumb. (I'm not talking about religious people who actually are homophobic/racist/sexist/violent, etc, but those who, like my family, are intelligent enough to know that we're all human beings and that all that matters is who you are on the inside)

Many of us were not alive when Charlie Chaplin graced the screen with his genius. But we later viewed his work and we were inspired by his legacy. He spoke volumes without even opening his mouth. And when he finally descended from the silent movie era we realized he had a lot to say and those words were powerful and inspirational. Even though this was a speech from a movie it’s message rang loud and clear to those who were willing to listen. That’s part of the problem with today’s society. We have no problem talking but we fall short in the listening. We don’t have all the answers to life but we do have the ability to learn from others. I became a responsible adult human being because I listened to my parents as a child..... I respected them and I learned from their wisdom. Thanks to them I grew up and I didn’t allow myself to fall into the world of drugs or crime. This speech reminds me of those days as a child where my parents showed me what life was all about. My life wasn’t a bed of roses all the time but I survived so much and every time I found my self in the darkness I always seemed to find the light. It was always up to me.

Absolutely fantastic. Charlie was before my time, but I have watched many of his movies. He created a miracle with a hat, mustache and cane. He brought happiness and laughter at a time when it was most needed. What America did to him was beyond cruel.

@@scorpion5574 Well... Not exactly. He isn't the Great Dictator, just someone that looks like him. And he realized what person they think he is quite a bit earlier then the moment he started to his speech. And the horror of such situation is probably what inspires him to make such a powerful speech.

For fuck sake, he realises that he didn't want to have that speech, I would've been so good if he didn't have to do it, that's the feeling. HOW CAN YOU PREPARE A SPEECH IF YOU DON"T WANT TO TAKE IT. He definitely wanted to tell his good thoughts, this is not bad, this is not problem, wake up
