A very interesting selection and great coverage of some inspiring layouts and stands which I would not have otherwise been able to view. Much appreciated, good to see it was well supported and trust you enjoyed it too - thank you Stephen (Canada)

Never heard of a pre-booked ticket sell out! I'd say over subscribed if anything. Never had to wait long for a spot either at a dealers or a layout except the Waterman one. I went both days and Sunday was easier. Thanks for the extra content that shows the crowd too...always a chance of spotting yourself later, lol. ATB, Andy.

What did you get?
@MadigitalMedia2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I got to see things that I wasn't able to yesterday due to 1) Being in a wheelchair and not being able to get close enough to see them and 2) Being unable to get to the balconies as the lift wasn't working. Ah well, I still had an excellent day though :D
@timsytanker2 жыл бұрын
There were several wheelchair users about and they were able to locate right next to the layouts. I’m pretty sure the lift was working as well, I was certainly told to ‘mind my back’ as someone in a wheelchair came through a couple of doors about halfway down the balcony. There is Warley next month, are you going?
@MadigitalMedia2 жыл бұрын
@@timsytanker Unfortunately not. I spent up yesterday lol and besides I work on the weekends so had to book a day off for yesterday. I'd like to go one year though. Regarding the lifts, interesting. I was informed that they weren't working by one of the display people who said that they had to carry their layout etc up the stairs due to the lifts not working. I did manage to get close to one or two layouts towards the end of the day once the crowds had gone down a bit :)

@@MadigitalMedia if it’s any crumb of comfort, it was only slightly easier for me to be able to film stuff as people were three deep in places and some layouts I gave up on. There also seemed to be ‘resident spectators’ who would claim their space and just stay there for ages. Ok, once you have paid to get in you are free to do what you want but I’m always aware that there are others who want to see so I move on quite quickly. Did you buy anything? I spent nothing, couldn’t get close enough to see that thing I didn’t know I needed but must have…
@MadigitalMedia2 жыл бұрын
@@timsytanker TBH this is the first event I have been to where I actually was able to afford to buy stuff! :) My most significant and best purchase was a Kernow GWR 1361 Saddle Tank that I had my eye on for a while. The model is exquisite! I have yet to run it though as my layout isn't wired up yet lol :) Got a few other bits and pieces (curve points, tunnel portals etc but I daren't yet look at how much I spent in total lol :) Oh and I got a subscription to Hornby Magazine with which I got the Free Bolster wagon :) So despite a few hiccups I had an excellent day if a bit expensive hehe 😆

I’m able bodied and couldn’t get anywhere near most of the layouts or traders either. Too much crammed in to a small space. I left disappointed and won’t return next year.

Who are the people/group behind the "Witham" layout?

Not sure, will have a look in the program when I can find it!
@WgCdrLuddite2 жыл бұрын
Oh dear. That Witham military train was an utter disaster. How difficult is it to get advice from a military modeller or a wargamer ? As our US friends would say "epic fail".
