He is definitely and undoubtedly God of guitar and had he been born in any European country or America he would have got the highest award in his time in music. I have seen him in person when he came to Indore my home town and he played several numbers and there was pin drop silence and people didn't believe what they heard. Absolutely unbelievable for the music lovers. I had bought all his records and cassettes which even now I listen to them often. I was like " Ek Lawya" learnt many songs he played by just copying his style of playing. At a later age after my retirement I got a chance to learn from his direct disciple Ms Geeta Deb who is also a stalwart and I feel a very ( Probably most) capable student of his. I would like to thank Mr Barua a thousand times who by sharing his valuable collection has given me such a joy. God bless him. CDR. Biswajit Sarkar (IN)
