I have to say I feel bad for not having read these book s earlier in life. I am currently reading the series for the first time (im 39) and just finished The Great Hunt. It was really a very engaging and fun book to read. I was a little bit lukewarm on Eye of the World because it felt like such a familiar story that I'd already read, lol but The Great Hunt is so incredibly its own and I am really eager to see where the series goes on from here. I'd love you see your take on all the books in the series, because I love your reviews and views and I'm pretty sure I just got hooked on this series. ;)

You should definitely review the whole series! KZbin has 10000 reviews for The Eye of The World but some of the best books like Books 4-6 get no love

I loved this book. It seemed like it stepped up in scale and intensity from eye of the world and the ending was just incredible.

I reread this last year, and I still think it's a top-tier book, but what I hadn't noticed before was how often it lapses into first person italics. I nearly got sick of it.

Would you re-read each prior volume with every release? WOT got me into reading fantasy. It’s not perfect but will always have a special place in my heart. I’ve only read through once though.

I vividly remember reading the Great Hunt, cover to cover, in the course of one day. A book that size usually takes me weeks. Those early Wheel of Time books were terrific.

This is the best book of the WoT series, IMO. Don't know how you read this series every year... if I did that, I'd literally never get to another book.

I'm currently on book 9 and Mat and Perrin are my favorites. I hate Nynaeve tho because she is such a hypocrite. She's from the good guys my most hated character but Egwene is my favorite of the female characters and I also like Moirane, Siuan is ok and Elayne was at first likeable but Nynaeve corrupted her around book 4 or 5 and she is a lot less likeable for me
