It has a very definite Prussian air to it...at the turn of the Century, many Armies followed the German model, & even imported Prussian instructors; you can still see this in armies of South America, how they copy their traditions from the German model; Japan did the same for its Land army; its Navy was modeled lock, stock & barrel from that of Britain, they even painted their ships in the North Atlantic dark grey the British used...
