Lyrics:

This is the song of the young officers movement, they were supporters of "Imperial Way" faction that believed in the importance of Japanese culture, spiritual purity over material quality and the need to attack the Soviet Union.

Good lyrics but let's be clear, the opposite faction who fought this faction of Kodoha (the faction of young officers who wrote this song), also wanted the good for Japan, but it wanted it through modernization, industrialization and reality whereas these young officers of Kodoha faction wanted the good for Japan through abandoning industrialization, modernization and return to feudal Japan, which was unrealistic and stupid because without industrialization, Japan doesn't have a chance against other powerful countries. They are too young, too simple and sometimes naive as Jiang Zemin say However it is nice song with nice words and who knows, maybe if they had win the struggle there wouldn't be Hentai :)

Bring BACK State Shinto. It’s the only thing that can make Japan Traditional, Militaristic and Ultra Ethno-Nationalistic again like pre-1945. The legendary Ethno-nationalist Shinzō Abe (may he rest in peace) and other Japanese conservatives advocated for returning the Emperor to a central political and religious position, which will restore a national sense of unity. There’s definitely a need for nationalist education, official visits to Yasukuni Shrine, revise Japan's current Constitution, especially Article 9 that keeps the military weak and finally a nationalist interpretation of State Shinto.

The song makes strong appeal to natural and religious imagery. It also references the tragic ancient Chinese hero Qu Yuan, a righteous official and poet of the doomed Chu State in pre-imperial China.

If I understand right: Their mindset was: They first believed on the decisions of a "wise" "enlightened " very authoritarian government -under leadership of the young emperor, still too young to make the economical and political decisions for a good future and used as shield by the generals more of army than from navy for their imperialist interests. Then they were very disappointed and angry by grim future caused by economic Depression. They had never learnt to take positive political and economic decisions in a peacefull way and so the bad military way began.

It is a song by the officers of the Kodoha faction who wanted to restore him to power. Shōwa Tenno preferred peace and good relations with the west but Toseiha faction and later Taisei Yokusankai did not.

The Kōdōha faction, a blazing sunbeam of Ethno-Nationalism, illuminated the path to a new dawn for their beloved nation. Their devotion, akin to the unwavering courage of the Samurai, carved a legacy that would forever be etched in the annals of history. The Kōdōha, like a masterful calligrapher, painted their vision of the Shōwa Restoration with bold, sweeping strokes. Their ink, a potent blend of tradition and national pride, bled into the very fabric of Japan, leaving an indelible mark on its people. The faction's influence spread like cherry blossoms in spring, a mesmerizing display of national pride and purpose that captivated the hearts and minds of the nation. Their Ultra-Nationalism, a fierce dragon, soared through the skies, breathing life into the ancient spirit of Japan. The Kōdōha's devotion to their nation was a roaring waterfall, cascading with the force of a thousand warriors, carving a path through the landscape of history. Their unwavering dedication, like the eternal flame of a sacred shrine, illuminated the path to a future steeped in the essence of the Yamato Spirit/大和魂. The Kōdōha faction, a celestial tapestry woven from the threads of honor, loyalty, and nationalism, shone brightly in the firmament of Japan's destiny. Their influence, a radiant comet streaking across the sky, heralded the dawn of the Shōwa Restoration, a transformative moment that would forever alter the course of their nation's history.

The Axis had the best Music hands down, though Hitler did take some inspiration from American Football anthems and merging such with a specific Germanic Military Song. Still such is an Artistic decision, one of a number of reasons why Hitler's tactics would at times have a sudden spontaneity about them, though overall being very meticulous. Interesting how, though I am sure the Nordic element would have resurfaced The Thule society being a key branch along Nationalism. There are a number of Western though especially America has drawn much inspiration from Rome, and though this a more superficial aspect to illustrate a correlation to a certain degree as Hitler wanted the architecture to mimic that of the Roman Empire, even in such a way that some 2000 years later, the building Albert Speer would have otherwise overseen, would have decayed the same exact way as Rome's famous Architecture. Some WWII Trivia for those who took the time to read. I'll need look in a bit more about Emperor Tojo's Biography sometime.
