This video is amazing. One word of encouragement for men who already have kids and weren’t ready (like me) - it feels like my brain evolved once my child was born. I had never experienced long term thinking at this high of a level. I was drifting in some areas and becoming a father gave me an immediate problem to solve (short term money) while forcing me to re-examine every step I take day to day knowing my son might do every habit I do. The Pareto distribution proved true and I was able to be more productive as a stay at home dad working from home than I was before, even tho I was sleeping less and ruthlessly cutting things out of my life I do not recommend having a kid for these benefits - but if you already have kids, use it as a driving force instead of an excuse

Fun to see you evolve the channel. Love most of the points, but I'd probably give another side of the coin with having kids and a wife in your 20s like myself. I'm 40 now and pretty much finishing up my career in IT. I have been more successful than I ever dreamed I ever could have been in my teens and early 20s. I attribute most of that to my kids and wife. At 21, I would work long enough to make money to go out, have a few drinks, and then hit the gym. I played lots of games and had many detrimental activities that didn't really do anything for me except waste my time. When I had kids and wife, that all changed because I couldn't do those things or they would be very limited if I did. It forced me to realize my full potential and to demand more from myself. I'm not advocating for a wife and kids, but I'd never think of them as a burden. Without them I would have been less successful, and probably would have let myself go a bit when I did acquire wealth. No way of knowing, but I'll leave you with this. - At the age of 21, I had no money just debt and could barely afford to eat 2 meals a day, because of crippling debt and low earnings. At the age of 40, I have enough wealth to be financially independent and a complete home gym (power squat rack and other equipment for a complete workout). My son is 19 and my daughter is 11 and funny enough I wouldn't even have a KZbin channel without my kids. Pretty wild when I think about it all.

Exactly, kids will add meaning to your life. I often hear from people that they should have gotten their kids earlier. But I also understand that having them too early, before you can afford them, could lead to the opposite.

1stMan is awesome. I love his concept of the “great filter” I just turned 26 today and similar to what you said ‘I’m not an amazing person’. But, I do notice that I am separating myself from “the rich kids” -wake up at 4am, every month a read 1 new book , I re-read 1 book, I meditate for 10 min, I pray for 10 min, I workout 2 hours a day, I post KZbin videos 4x a week, I invest into fitness programs, I invest into real estate programs, I invest into stocks, I watch 1 hour of financial education, I listen to 1 hours of fitness education, I eat Whole Foods, I work 10 hours a day on my passion, I am building an expansion course relating to my business. Doesn’t seem like a lot, but the compounding interest is real. Habits that are going to help you become the best version of myself and to continue to distance myself from “the Rich kids”

Great video as always Nikhil, however I think the great male filter is actually a higher age range. I would say 30 - 35. To be honest my 25 - 30 years were a total roller-coaster ride of emotions, ups down's, breakups, dealing with depression, medication etc. getting my shit together and burning it all down etc. It took me 6-7 years to unfuck myself, now at the age of 32 I don't think I have ever felt this good in my life, it's a beautiful period, you are considered mature, dating is easier, women notice you, finances are stable enough, ambition to excel in my career is there etc. The point that I want to make is even if you're age is outside this range and you feel your life isn't in full order do not worry at all and keep on giving it your best.

The thing with health and fitness is that it's a lot of work to get in shape if you have let yourself go, but a few years of lifting and doing martial arts and it doesn't take that much to maintain. Great stuff. Just to clarify what I think you're saying. Having kids isn't the problem, getting married isn't a problem. Both of things add value to life in a bunch of ways in the same way that having a goal of getting a 3-plate squat adds more value to the time you spend at the gym. However starting a family and having kids without a plan is a problem. If you want to do it, make a plan for it and don't assume you'll get to get what you want out of it any more than going to college will result in what you want out of it.

Great video as usual, Captain! Only point I disagree on is kids. Getting married to my wife at 26 and having our first son at 27 were two of the best things that could have ever happened to me. My only regret is that I didn't meet her when I was 17 so we could have gotten married at 18. Money has never meant a lot to me (in that I don't particularly care to be extremely wealthy), but I have always wanted to be a husband and a dad. To my shame, before I got married I was adrift and didn't really know it. My wife helped me tremendously to aim myself in a positive direction, but that same effect 100x'd when we had our first son. I'm 30 now and make more money than ever with huge earning potential ahead of me. We're debt free. We own several acres of land. Building our own little refuge from the craziness of the world and just welcomed our second son. Not posting this as a humble brag but rather as an encouragement to all the men out there to go forth no matter the circumstance and make a better life for your family. Service to something greater than yourself is the most fulfilling way to live and it's not even close. Submit your life to God, serve your family, and make the world better by being a great man. I yield the floor.

Really it’s understanding that leveling up physically, financially, intellectually, spiritually etc is actually what is truly rewarding in life. Short term pleasure is for the most part long term Pain disguised as pleasure. Long term goals is where it is at. However, this depends on the individual. I do think men who choose family life aka having children and just having a job to support them can live truly fulfilling lives. However, for men with great ambition there is a need to conquer and go on adventures and that’s where I find myself. Fulfill what your soul tells you and you will live a great life. Some excellent advice in here and some I wish I’d had 10 years ago at the start of my 20s! A great point on fitness about having goals to work towards and not just doing it for aesthetics, being fit and healthy impacts on every other area of your life so it shouldn’t be neglected, even if you can manage 15-30 mins a day it’s still better than nothing. On the 4th principle though I have to say there should be a reasonable balance and not just all work no play or the opposite. Yes if you want to be successful in your pursuits of course you have to invest time and make sacrifices but life is for living as well. Sure you can not date, go out drinking with your friends, spend time with your family or go to concerts, ball games and pursue your interests etc., but then you’re going to miss out on a lot of great times in your younger years - yes you never get time back for self improvement but you’ll also never get the time back that you could have been enjoying your youth. Work-life balance is important, even if you work crazy hours during the week having at least a day at the weekend where you can relax, recharge and enjoy yourself is really important and actually helps make you more productive in the long-run. Unless you’re in a particularly restrictive line of work you can work hard and build a successful career/life and still enjoy it at the same time. Like most of what the advice in these videos boils down to - self-discipline is key.

I disagree about telling the 16 yo to quit his retail job, this allows him to grow in different ways. It's invaluable for him to learn to deal with different people he comes across and that is also growth. Also, time management. This will also help his ability earn in the future.
@harrywang67922 жыл бұрын
Work the job during the summer, not during the school months. unless you really need to take a part time job to help out family, I think it is pretty stupid for students, or college students to take part time jobs during the semester (unless it's a technical job). The amount of time you can use to maintain your physical, mental health, work on clubs, interesting projects, albeit unpaid or even require expenses, far outweighs the 11,12 dollars you are going to make during the time. It was pretty insane during high school to me, that there are decent amount of people who are taking AP classes, doing sports, and have a 20 hour work schedule in local stores. What I realized that during exam seasons or college app seasons, they usually had the worst anxieties because of all the workload. There is no time management if there's no time for you to manage. And in terms of resume/application booster, there is no real difference between work during the summer/school months.

When you’re young, your free time is what makes you. Unless you’ve started your own business/hustle, there is no positive that you learn with those jobs before year 18 that you won’t just pickup on quickly when you start later. Every person I know that worked a job before 18 is the most basic person today. I think it hardens people and breaks them down early. It gets them in the system, puts them on the ladder, and gets them focused on those things. It isn’t shit. You practice dumb shit and you get good at dumb shit.
@user-gq8ht4nw7i2 жыл бұрын
Same, I personally think better advice is to work less at the retail job and focus on learning how to code, but keeping the job. It’s good to have money when you’re that young, but most importantly there are valuable lessons that undesirable customer service type jobs teach to young people. Im finishing up with college and I can see a large difference between my friends who worked throughout their teenage years and the ones who didn’t. The ones who did value their time more, are more socially adept, treat people (especially service workers) better, and have a better work ethic.
@harrywang67922 жыл бұрын
@@YouDontKnowSh1t I agree. That's why encourage people to just work a few months in dead end jobs in the summer. I did it once, and it makes me appreciate even little amounts of money, and free time. The goal is not to have a Kardashian butt the goal is to keep moving and being able to climb a mountain or something like that. Invest in your food - fast food maybe looks cheaper at first but in a long run buying whole foods and cooking is much better choice. One of the most important things for women - it will bring your hormones in balance. Learn how to cook (this doesn't have anything to do with gender, anyone who can read can cook. Invest in your knowledge - it can be college it can be some other courses. A lot of content today is free (yt...) and if you want you can learn a lot by yourself. Read good books, don't just read some romance fluff. Good books, from psychology to phyloshopy to classic literature will develop your way of thinking) - learn about finance. You don't need to be an expert, but financial literacy is very important and don't assume someone else will take care of it. Take things into your own hands - learn learn learn, internet is full of courses, videos... a lot of it is free - build habits and discipline! - have interests besides your job. You can paint, read, run, climb, whatever. Be curious and follow your passions. This life is not meant to be boring -don't be afraid of hard work (one of the things in video that I don't agree, quiting retail. Those kind of jobs, know that it is not forever and work on some greater things both in values and financial things, but those kind of jobs (cleaning, reatail, customer service... *will* teach you a lot about life, yourself and other people) - learn to love being a woman. In some things we are equal to men (I think for both genders habits and discipline and lot of things I mentioned are important), but we can be a lot of things naturally. Have discipline but don't be rigid, know when to be flexible. Love your cyclus. Love that you can be soft *and* tough when needed - you are not just one thing - be kind to people. There is difference between being nice and being kind. Being nice is how you want to look in front of others. Being kind means treating everyone with respect because they are human beings, but also having bounderies and voiceing them out, don't be someone's punching bag. You'll always be a b**** in someones else eyes. Know yourself and stay true to yourself but also have a loving energy Implementing a lot of these things will help you see the difference between ego and confidence. You will build your confidence because it will come from respect to yourself, from deep within. You will be aware that you can be lovable/attractive/whatever to other people but also know you are not everyone's cup of tea and you will be okay with it

If mastery and masculinity are subjects of interest to you, I invite you to explore the videos shared on the Mastery Order Channel to challenge yourself with some ideas about manhood and to become the kind of man you would admire and look up to. We can only better ourselves together, as men among men, so I invite you to use what I share and, of course, give your own opinions so that others can benefit from them as well. Looking forward to your points of view. All the best to you!

omg you make contents worth million views..... and i think you should make your video titles bit specified to the video....coz they re unique but seems similar by title...so that audience can rewatch easily....like this one is more about self investment, consistency of conscious effort, ...........plz dont stop making videos

I’m getting real tired of this whole building wealth, being masculine, self-improvement crap. Has bought me only fleeting moments of satisfaction.
