Hi, Just discovered this video. Being that Crichton is my favourite author I was curiuos for your video's, mainly after Lost World. What happened case that is your last video? My favourite (re)reads are State of Fear and Prey. I have not gotten myself to finish Micro, I definetly am missing Crichton in that one. Also have not finished Dragon teeth but that is on myself. Hope to see a continueason of the post JP Crichton books.

Since my library has a Crichton volume containing the first 3 titles, I'll read along in February, March and April and see how I feel about the author. Very excited, I never read a Crichton before and wanted to check out The Andromeda Strain for quite some time, so this is the perfect opportunity :-)

The movie Twister's screenplay was written by Michael Crichton. It's a really good story too. One of my favorite movies.

Hey Mike. As a Crichton fan(atic) I started a similar project in November 2018 ten years after his death. Reading all his 32 books including pseudonyms and nonfiction. I'm currently reading Timeline and by September I'll have read Dragon Teeth too. So I won't join this incredible project of yours but I'll keep my eyes peeled for every Crichton review you publish. Michael Crichton is the author that really got me into reading. I was lucky enough to have read Jurassic Park before it was ever turned into a movie. BTW the non fiction book Travels by Crichton is also a really good and interesting book.

I liked Jurassic Park. Read it as a kid and again sometime last year. I couldn't get into Lost World. I watched the movie Andromeda Strain and want to read the book. but that's about it with his.

Found some of my old (and horribly yellowed) Crichton mass markets. Got into Timeline last night very easily. Forgot how good he was at researching semi-plausible science as a backdrop to his fiction. This is the one where they go back to the year 1347 on a rescue mission. A page-turner!

A couple years back when I was a freshman in college I gave a presentation about climate change and I brought him up and used some his quotes in it. No one in the class knew who he was and that always upset me. He had such a prolific career and even just Jurassic park alone is such a huge franchise that’s been around for decades it’s a shame he isn’t more of a household name.

You know, it's funny you said that used book stores are where Micheal Crichton books go to die. We have a bunch of them at our thrift store, but by far Dean Koontz books are the top donated fiction books. You've also helped us make a few bucks since you made me keep an eye out for first edition Stephen King books! Keep up the good work dude, your videos relax me on the long drive to work.

Michael crichton has always been my favorite writer. I couldn’t find any writers as good as he is thus often i stop reading other books after first or second chapter. Does anybody have suggestion of a good novel ?

I'm absolutely in! I read a handful of his work back in the 90's and loved it, but never really kept up with his works, so this is a great chance to revisit. When the first Jurassic Park movie was announced, my father told me I had to read the book if I wanted to see the movie (I was maybe 10-11?), and I think that more than anything kicked off my love of reading.

Thank you! I’m so in! Found all my digital copies and put them on my Kindle! I’ve never read terminal man or great train robbery. Wasn’t that into his political books like disclosure back in the day when I read all of these I think I may feel differently about them with age and life experience. That said...I think you should consider including “Travels.” It is an autobiography but it was soooooooo good! The man had an amazing life!

Question: did he publish A Case of Need under his own name or John Lange? My copy has Crichton on it, but it was printed around the same time as Jurassic Park so they may have been using that as a marketing tool. I ask because it was my favorite Critchon book until State of Fear was published.
