When I was a teenager, I picked rock for money. Farmer wanted rocks out of his fields. They would till a field up and we would pick the rock out, and then they would till it again, and I would be amazed at how many rocks there were.. as if we hadn't even picked rock out of it before. They would till the fields up about 4 times before we made a dent in the rocks, but eventually we got most of them out. Wondering why don't you pick the rocks out? Maybe it's not worth it or too many.

This year I grew Yukon Gold, Kennebec, and Red Chieftain potatoes. All pretty good for long term storage to last until next year. Love the look of those Cubanelle peppers. Already have the seeds to try them next year. Having a hard time finding Itallianelle seeds. I also grew lunchbox peppers this year. Peppers are still producing like crazy. May have to pot them and overwinter them again. Some are on their 3rd year.

@@arthurdewith7608 It was not always done and I believe my Dad who was a kind and caring man did so to appease my native American great grandmother. 3 sisters planting was their custom way of planting. I am new to your channel so I can’t wait for tomorrow when I can start catching up on the other older videos but I just want to say how much I appreciate how positive and exciting all of you are when you talk as well as the knowledge you share about your crops; I want to thank Grandma and everyone else involved in the meals because I wanna join you for your meals they look just like what I like to eat mostly vegetables and homegrown food like I grew up with on the farm. My mother works so hard to feed her 12 children and all the other company Who showed up on a regular basis throughout the week and weekends!! We didn’t have any modern appliances either to help with the dishwashing and that was usually my job!! I am passing your KZbin channel on to all of my sisters because they recently came to visit me as I’m a cancer survivor and I was not able to attend the annual sisters gathering so they surprised me and came to my place. In our conversation I said, you guys won’t believe what I’ve been doing lately with my time… I have to admit I’ve been watching farming videos; because I’m the big city girl and I’m the one that moved away from the farming area where the majority of where they all live, and much to my surprise they all said they were too. I couldn’t of been more thrilled to hear that they were all watching different farming videos. So I’m going to send your video channel to all of them and I hope they sign up and help you get closer to your 100 K. As a family of 12, we were taught to be positive and with Christian values and we weren’t allowed to argue and if we started fighting my mother gave us some rather unpleasant job to go do you usually out in the garden all by yourself like pulling weeds out between the green onions or folding Laundry in the basement all by yourself which was a never ending Task !!!!! One of her favorites to use was towards the weekend when company was always coming and invariably, the boys were always stepping into a situation because where they would be Friday over chores I overture responsibility and she would offer them a chance to get out of trouble but they’re foolish pride sometimes did not allow them to have the discernment of have the wisdom they needed to get out of their rooms and so they would still be upstairs, And much like the Christmas story of Rudolph, they had no one to play with LOL while the rest of us we’re having lots of fun. And the worst part of that was when mom brought out her wonderful desserts… And I couldn’t help but notice your grandmothers dessert on the table for supper. I never really eat a lot of dessert which really angrered my mother over the yearsa, but my body really didn’t seem to like sugar and plus I just be Ferg vegetables mashed potatoes in front of me I and that was a better dessert to me!! I just have always liked the flavor of fresh cooked vegetables and that’s mostly what I eat clear to this day. And I really don’t even eat much meat!! I don’t know if it’s in a different video or not but do you guys grow sweet potatoes?? I live in Iowa and specifically, near Cedar Rapids IA, and I cannot buy any good sweet potatoes that aren’t dry or pithy! However if I want to good sweet potato I have to go to the hospital to actually get one and that’s not what I really want to do with my time time exactly although they do have very good signal here at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids IA and they even allow you to order what you want so twice a day I do order sweet Jesus and sometimes too because they cut them in half and consider that and consider that one serving one serving meaning a half is one serving. So, strrometimes I call Head chef, And ask if it’s OK if I could get 2 halves with my supper because they are looking small on that day and I just really love how they taste and how they cook. I guess they brush them on low for a long time and I’m going to get a lake resort pan and oil each of the potatoes and cook them at 225 degrees for three / four hours…. Anyway you probably don’t shipped individuals and probably for not less than a half a box and seeing the size of your boxes that would be a lot of money and I don’t really have a place for that many sweet potatoes. Send me an email should something we able to be work out because I do really LOVE Sweet potatoes. Anyway, you guys should be proud of your video say but more importantly what you stand for in life and who you are on a daily basis as a family and as an individual. I can’t wait to see more of your videos just because you guys are smiling and happy and the world needs all of that we can get..By the way those two babies are as cute as they can be💕💕💕💕♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

When my dad would take his produce to the packing house and there would be a pile of those little red potatoes.... everyone wanted the big ones!
