This is all going over my head. Born again May 2022 but still have a hard time understanding the Bible and God with context, history, background, audience, and application. So much to learn. Please pray for me to find someone to help disciple me. The Holy Spirit is teaching me. But I want to grow quicker, get off the milk and produce more fruit. I want to be effective for others to come to know Jesus Christ.

Hang in there. I used to feel like that also. The Holy Spirit guided me, and still does. He will guide you also. I just started with genesis and kept reading. How's it going a year later? I recommend you get a decent bible commentary, plus ask the holy spirit to lead you into all truth (John 16v13) and ask mature Christians to explain things if they have the wisdom and time. If there's things you just can't understand, don't worry, move on and later God will make it clearer at the second third, fourth time. Bless you

Just came across your post. I don't know how you are doing right now, but I thought I'd share with you what I would want someone to share with me. It's not perfect, but it's a start. 😅👍👍 The following encouraging facts are just a drop in the pool of "Why?" that has compelled me for 35 years to draw ever closer to Jesus, through His Word, with the help of His Holy Spirit ("So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ." Romans 10:17 NLT). The New Testament was originally written in Greek. Today, we have over 5,700 Greek full manuscripts as well as pieces of manuscripts of the NT. We have approximately 10,000 manuscripts of the NT in the Latin Vulgate, and we have approximately 5,000 manuscripts in Ethiopic, Coptic, Armenian, Slavonic, Georgian, and Gothic. That means we've got about 20,000 handwritten manuscripts, existing before the printing press (when it was mass produced from the 2nd century through the 10th Century). There is no document that even approaches the New Testament in manuscript evidence. The Greek manuscripts of the entire New Testament are over 400 pages long = we have over 2.5 million original pages of the New Testament. We also have about a million quotes of the New Testament from ancient church fathers, like Ignatius, Bishop of Antioch, Clement, Bishop of Rome, Papias, Polycarp, and others. (The Old Testament is pretty breathtaking facts-wise as well.) 2 names you can definitely run with (even if they hold a few things that are denominationally/theologically different than Joe and Chad's stances, there's so much sound teaching and Biblical doctrine coming from them, you would be hard pressed to find better): Derek Prince (He started out as a philosopher and atheist, tried out yoga, Theosophy, and voodoo, and was ultimately and entirely transformed by Jesus into a Christian. Search for "Derek Prince With Subtitles life story" and look for the playlist by Anthony P. Richards, as it includes all the parts. As a whole, his life is one of the most extraordinary I have ever come across. For example, when I listened to one of his sermons on evil, I randomly found out that he had turned down an invitation to meet Hitler because he was repulsed and disturbed by H's ideology. Derek was also a big believer in the importance of both context and history = *chef's kiss*) and Cliffe Knechtle (He is an apologist preacher and teacher who answers any theological questions he is asked about the Bible, on the spot = helpful). I would recommend the following YT channels to anyone who's seeking. These sources come from different perspectives, but they all follow(ed) Jesus: -> Derek Prince -> Derek Prince With Subtitles -> askcliffe -> Good Fight Ministries (you already watch them 🥰) -> Probably Alexandra (Especially the vids "An Inconvenient History" followed by "An Inconvenient Religion" - to find out where she's spiritually coming from, watch the vid "My Testimony." She is important because most followers of Christ don't even know their own church history. She covers a lot of it and then some. She also does what Joe and Chad do: de- pedestal a lot of men that the Church as a whole looks up to, idolize, and practically treat their words like God's Word in today's churches. I greatly appreciate that. God's Word is The Final Word. Not "insert pastor/author/motivational speaker's name here." Her research will probably motivate you to do more of your own. It did so for me.) -> The Truth Is (He is relevant because he helps to keep spiritual tabs on the culture that surrounds us, and what they are doing to actively come against Jesus and God's Word - please know that while I do believe he is saved and I still very much appreciate his thoughtful and informative videos, unfortunately, he also believes that the uncannonized Book of Enoch should be part of the Bible, and that specific belief is not scripturally sound, just so you know) -> Chuck Missler (An author - "Hidden Treasures" is a fav of mine - who was also known for his verse-by-verse, historical, and scientific analysis of the entire Bible. Search for the YT channel "My Special Place." All of the Books of the Bible have been made available; just look for the thumbnail with a white church, sunset, and flowers in the grass. I think that Chuck may have believed in a pre-mill rapture, and I know that Joe and Chad do not believe that. Regardless, there is still a great amount of good that you can glean from Chuck's work.) Remember that the Holy Spirit is your Helper and Advocate. As Him to show you what God wants to reveal to you as you are learning and growing in Christ. He will do it, and love that you've asked for His help! 🤗 Some refreshing words from the Apostle Paul, for you: "And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. How’s it going? Praying for you to endure until the end. I’m coming from years of false teaching so all of this is new to me in my 40s. For instance when he talked about Jeremiah and Hanniniah, I paused the video and read Jeremiah 28 a few times so I could really understand what he’s saying when I watched the rest of the video. A preacher’s job is to point us to the truth. It’s our individual job to study the Bible on our own and pray to God (the author and finisher of our faith) for understanding. Be encouraged!

I've read through the Bible a couple times as a new Christian and I can't see a pre-trib rapture. All I see is how we're told to endure and persevere until the end. That's not written to unbelievers. Why warn us about end times if we're not going to be here? Unbelievers aren't going to pick up a bible to read any warnings. I couldn't find anything about pretrib from the early church fathers.... I've got an open mind around the topic but for now I'm post trib. Prepare for post trib rapture, hope for pre trib rapture. No matter what happens stay strong in your faith and cling to Jesus.

Joe thank you. Most people I fellowship with are Pre Trib. Though I wanted to believe it I just couldn't understand why the early church went through so much persecution and yet people today don't think they're going to have to go through this. And yet they talk about how our Christ would not allow his bride to suffer. I usually would tell people hope for pre-trib but prepare for post-trib. My fear is yours that many of the saints will fall away when the antichrist is revealed. And I have dreamt about being in a line where people are being beheaded. Thank you Pastor Joe. I go to a church that teaches pre-tribulation rapture. I love my brothers and sisters dearly but was never fully convinced on it. It’s true that we don’t arrive at that conclusion if we just read the Bible ourselves unless someone teaches us pre-trib. When I was a baby believer and went through the Bible myself for the first time, I didn’t see pre-trib anywhere. I read the scriptures plainly and saw them as you taught them here. Note that Jesus does not say here that he will come and snatch these away, only that he will keep them. There are many ways for God to do this and note also the reason is not because they are simply believers, but because they had already suffered much, unlike most of us here in the West. So if this is proof of a pre-trib rapture, if you don't live in an area of much persecution, you may want to move there.

Thankyou, brother, for telling the truth plainly. As a Christian of 38 years and counting, I struggle to understand why believers are being led astray by false teachers. However, I have a few theories: 1. Easy believism. The idea that being a believer in Christ will solve all of our earthly problems. 2. Wishful or magical thinking. Wishing on a star or a rainbow. 3. Denial. Denying the persecution of Christians across the world as real. 4. Elitism. Thinking it won’t happen to us. Maybe to “them” but not us. 5. Cowardice. Shrinking away from suffering that may be required. 6. Ignorance. Ignorance of the real teachings of the Bible and Jesus Christ. 7. Again, denial. Thinking it won’t happen to us. 8. Avoidance of pain and reality. Falsely thinking that the pain and suffering of Christ and the early martyrs doesn’t apply to us. 9. Deception. Believing the false teachers that tell is what we want to hear. 10. Comfort. Our desire for comfort and avoidance of pain, suffering or hard work causes us to believe in wishful thinking.

It astounds me that these Bible scholars have been deceived into thinking The Church will be taken up before The Great Tribulation. I’m no Bible scholar, but even I can see the event Paul wrote in Thessalonians and the event Jesus Himself described in Matthew’s Gospel is the same event. Perhaps when they realize what they believe is false it may result in many turning away from The Faith.

I've been part of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture for many years. I still believe in that belief even though what I'm about to say may/may not be in support for your position. Whether you're pre-trib, mid-trib, or post-trib we are all brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. The much bigger question is this if the Pre-Tribulation Rapture is correct will you still love, respect , and trust in Jesus Christ our Lord? The same can be said if the opposite is true. The new covenant is in Christs blood..the false prophets and false teachers today teach about red heifers and temple institutes and a new temple being built again in jerusalem..the true teachers of Gods grace still teach the death, burial, and resurection of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit still confirms the truth to those who recieve him. Their is one faith, one spirit, one body, one lord, one baptism that we are all baptized into one body, one head over the one body and he is Christ Jesus the Lord..the false teachers teach a resurected state of israel..and they prophecy of a time when God will turn his eyes off the body of Christ and turn again to jerusalem below. The truth is that God will never turn his eyes off his word.Jesus came to save the jew first,in jerusalem, then those in judea, then those in samaria, then to the ends of the earth..all who believe the Gospel of the resurection of Jesus shall be saved, and forgiven of their sins..but those who who will not recieve the love of the truth will be given a strong delusion. And they will be damned. The scripture plainly says, all whose names are written in the lambs book of life will escape the 2nd death. But it also says, all who reject the love of the truth shall be damned. Jesus said, many will come in my name, and will decieve many, and there shall be signs in the heavens, and the powers of heaven and earth shall be shaken, and as the fig tree is shaken by a mighty wind, so shall all things be shaken, so that what falls away will fall, and what remains shall remain..Jesus is the resurection. I understand this message is 4+yrs old but I must add confirmation. I too came to many of these same conclusions via the Spirit through study awhile back. Even did my first message on the Fear of the Lord as concept and how we must Endure to the End etc. Everyone at my church loved the message but as time has gone on I can see almost no one took it to heart. Nearly everyone is still talking about the Pre-Trib Rapture. Anyway, just wanted to give confirmation that that the Holy Spirit lead another self-taught convert to the same message.

I was raised in an Evangelical Lutheran Church. As I was raised up in the church, we were taught strictly word of God, Luther's Large Catechism. I didn't even know a pre tribulation ideaology existed until my church was closed down after 225 years due to money and a fight against the Synod because the Lutheran Synod was slipping into poor doctrine. Sadly, many now even in the Lutheran Church preach that there is no sin in certain intimate relationships, have women preaching everywhere (I am a woman and I don't like that) and have been changing His word to suit society. I have been without a church now for 10 years. The Lutheran Church has lost its way and any non denominational churches I have visited are even worse PLUS they ALL teach pre tribulation rapture. I have not seen any evidence to suggest that the Rapture will occur anywhere but post tribulation and pre wrath. The evidence they present are taken out of context and manipulated to fit the idea. I'm glad to have found another Pastor online who knows and understands the post tribulation- pre wrath concept in Scripture. Those who believe in pre tribulation suffer from some subconscious fear. They need to strengthen their faith and trust Jesus 100% no matter what we have to endure. God Bless your ministry🥰

See, this is why I love this ministry. The Holy Spirit guides you to things that are true and away from things that are untrue. You guys agree with about 98% of what I do. The only thing i’ve seen as a slight error is the Antichrist theory due to the fact it’s actually the Catholic Church system. I agree there is no clear passage in the Bible supporting a pre-tribulation rapture belief. IT is just something they see between the lines or which they infer. It is not sound to teach with certainty a belief that is simply inferred. I think the pre-trib rapture doctrine is designed to cause a falling away when Pre-tribbers experience persecution. But Jesus said, in this world, you will have tribulation.

A question to ask pre-tribbers who say, “Jesus wouldn’t batter or abuse His bride by allowing them to go through the tribulation!”, Would be, Then what about the tribulation saints? Are they not Jesus’ bride as well? So Jesus isn’t going to abuse the pre-trib church but He is going to abuse those who are left behind who come to saving faith in Him? That doesn’t make sense. Both sets of people belong to Him. Everyone who ever has ever, or ever will, put their faith in Jesus, is His bride. There is one wedding supper, not two. The church today does not have a special status over the church during the great tribulation. There is nothing in the Bible to support their belief. It is simply mental gymnastics to get around not wanting to face the reality that the Church will not be raptured until after the tribulation. Furthermore, Jesus isn’t the One battering us when we face troubles and persecution now, so the belief that the great tribulation is somehow different, other than in intensity and worldwide persecution of the church, is an absurd lie meant to deceive those within the church. I pray that more eyes will be open and people will be spiritually ready.
