Hank McCoy is a example of what a peaceful soul is.
@cameronwilliams44046 жыл бұрын
Beast is such a poetic soul. I never paid much attention to him as a child but as I grow older, I would say that he is the only member of the X-Men that personifies the mutant struggle the most. The others could easily blend in with humanity if they wanted but for Mr. McCoy, there is no hiding. Behind the intellect, wit and joyous spirit is a person who knows daily isolation, heartbreak and rejection in ways that most other mutants just don't. But he keeps going. Beast is a true soldier and a man that the world need more of.

Hank McCoy is one of my all-time favorite Marvel Comics characters because of his wisdom, humility, Renaissance Man warmth, and his crippling self-consciousness. Which makes it a tragic and aggravating shame that current Marvel creators are determined to inflate his ego to monstrous proportions and make him no better than his grey-furred AoA counterpart.

I dunno. I kinda like these wisps of Dark Beast. I think the current one is super obsessed with the success of Krakoa
@codybrinson3520 Жыл бұрын
@@hateprevention1522 Don’t get me wrong. I’m open to arcs where a heroic character falls from grace for a time. However, I believe there should come a point where they rediscover the values and morals they tossed away. And I also believe that writers and editors should not take it so far that the character that the character can’t be redeemed ever again; not to mention that, in my opinion, ten or more years is WAY TOO LONG for a “hero falls from grace” arc. And to elaborate on my stance some more, here is a comment I posted on another KZbin channel (sorry for the ridiculous length): [I REALLY hope that X-Force (or any other book) provides insight and explanation into how and why Beast/Hank became the way that he is now; as well as gain the support of the friends and allies that he recently alienated; instead of the usual: “It’s just Beast being Beast; characters change over time;” or even worse, “this is where his character was destined to keep going - he’s evil now and there’s no way to redeem him” (the last one I find to be bullcrap when Dawn of X, Reign of X, and most Marvel stories have been about redeeming the supposedly irredeemable). It was intriguing at first, but the choppy progression, lack thereof, or just showing us what we already know has turned Beast’s arc from “what is going on with Hank??” to “what sketchy nonsense is McCoy going to commit this time?” In other words, it’s becoming a one-trick pony at this point. House of X #6 showed Beast having fun with Iceman and Angel, laughing his head off, and drinking beer - so it really makes you wonder. Data pages in X-Force #7, #10, and #12, suggest that Beast is also under the control of the Chronicler (as is Logan in a Wolverine #4 data page). Heck, the hairstyle and grey color (even the grey patches on his pecs) suggest that Dark Beast May very well be the one motivating Hank’s erratic transition to quasi-antagonism! I understand why there are readers who are interested in this arc for Beast/Hank (and more power to them) and, in my opinion works best as a temporary phase. But the implication that the creators are making this transition permanent - especially when Hank’s legacy, core values (as a long-time character), and essence is rooted in being an optimistic and sentimental individual whose premise centers around not being monstrous or savage just because he appears that way - it would be trashy and tastelessly cynical. Just my opinion, but the notion that a once-heartwarming and once-idealistic character needs to be darker and edgier as a way to make them interesting (or the only way to make them interesting) is outdated and naive at this point.]
