Don’t get me wrong I for one actually really like the Suicide Squad but WHY are they getting more attention than characters like Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Superman lately?! I get it the second movie they made of them as good and all but I don’t think that justifies them being treated better than most of DC’s more iconic characters.

DC uses it as an excuse to push Harley Quinn to the frontlines. I guarantee you if she weren't a member, they wouldn't be getting this much priority. Because no one outside of comic fans cares about characters like Deadshot, King shark or Captain Boomerang. And even Comic fans themselves didn't give two shits about Peacemaker before John Cena played him in that movie. All of a sudden, people started pretending Peacemaker is this frontline A-lister with the same recognition as characters like Batman now, when half of these people didn't even care enough to read about him.

@@izzy-washere the suicide squad are a bunch of nobodies that no one gives a flying fuck about. They're so meaningless that their very premise is that they get sent on death missions and half the team dies because of the fact they serve no purpose beyond being the canon fodder nobodies they are. If DC wanted to adapt characters with little to no live action appearances, Deathstroke, Clayface, Question, The Titans, Green Arrow, the New Gods, Brainiac, John Stewart’s GL, Nightwing and Static Shock would all be infinitely better ideas.

You guys don't understand business. It's a huge deal if you mess up a Superman or Batman movie. You might have to wait a decade before audiences gives you another chance. D-list characters are literally expendable.

I feel like the Suicide Squad works as a one-of thing. Like, outside of letting them do their one cool thing per canon, they shouldn't be more than occasional side-dressing. Like, while they were doing something similar to the James Gunn movie, the League or whatever should've been fighting Darkseid in Apokolips.

I'm glad someone is finally saying it. The squad sucks and were never "cool". The characters in the Suicide Squad are so one note and unnecessary that their very premise is that they exist to go on suicide missions.

@@yarc9 and he sucked so badly he had to be put on a team with other nobody D-listers to form team who's very precise is that they're so terrible they get sent on missions to die. Same thing applies to Deadshot who basically a less interesting version of Deathstroke and Hawkeye. Slade does the "mercenary" schtick infinitely superior and Hawkeye does the " never missing a shot " thing vastly better than Floyd ever has. So why does Deadshot or anyone in the Suicide Squad exist ? Simple: they're terrible meme characters who people overhype. Nothing more, nothing less.

The world needs to realize that this team’s overblown hype should’ve died the moment that rocksteady decided to make their most recent game a suicide squad game instead of Superman (you know, the most obvious and logical choice to move on to after Batman).

If dc wanted give focus to a team of villians they should have given more focused to the legion of doon who are actually cooler and can be a threat. You characters like Lex luther,Black adam,Sincstro,captain cold,and more who can be a real threat and can tell interesting stories with. Like imagine if the league is off doing something and the legion of doom have to say the universe thats way cooler and the legion all have more interesting and strong powersets that I can definitely believe they can be a threat to the justice league in the right circumstances.

I actually love The Suicide Squad. it was 10 times better than the first one. I think the reason why it was better was because I don’t think DC cares as much about that title as they do things like Batman and Superman and Justice league, etc. So James gun was left with more freedom. When they made the first suicide squad movie that was still like in the first five movies and they were really just Hands-on all of those projects way too much. Again, I kind of blame the fans this love for Zack Snyder never was a thing until they showed him the door. They didn’t show up to support Man of Steel, they completely made fun of Batman v Superman, so if you don’t support his first movie, and you turn his second movie into a running joke for a full year after it’s release with everyone, making fun of the Martha scene , and they’re already behind in their mind. Of course, they’re going to get rid of him. Honestly, I think it’s pointless to try to keep wasting time or energy and all this other stuff with the DC EU. There were some movies in it I really loved. There were some movies in it I liked, and there were some that were just terrible I thought. And sadly, I think that universe actually got better the older it got, but the foundation was so bad a lot of people were giving up. Yes Ezra Miller is a human being I get that, but overall that was a damn good movie and I felt like people were looking for reasons to not like it because some of that stuff was really reaching. I didn’t see a damn thing wrong with the Shazam movie, it wasn’t a top 10 comic book movie of all time, but it wasn’t near as bad as the fans acted like it was same thing with the Aquaman movie. Not a top 10 comic book movie but it was a lot of fun. I just think it’s become really trendy to hate every comic book movie now. It’s part of society now men don’t act like men anymore. I don’t even understand why people argue about politics in this way but at least it’s more understood but you’re not talking about laws that are affecting your life. You’re talking about comic book movies. If some of you have made up your mind that you’re just going to hate on every movie before it even comes out why waste your time with it anymore? Why do you get mad when other people like movies that you didn’t like? It’s entertainment. Getting butt hurt about what another person enjoys and their entertainment is number one on the beta mail to do list.

It's good to have lesser known characters rise in popularity but when you throw away your top tiers to do so, you're dooming yourself, especially in a time when they NEED good adaptations The newer generation has only ever been exposed to the movies. Where Batman is a stupid murderer, Superman is a brooding hopeless sad sack, Green Lantern dies in his first scene, Aquaman is a surfer dude bro

Dogshit take. Not everyone likes heroes. Not everyone likes boy scouts with plot armor like Batman and superman. A movie only needs to be entertaining. What is this shit about morals? Characters dont have to be moral. A movie doesn't have to be a lesson about morals. Does Silence of the Lambs have a lot of morals? Harley Quinn is popular for the same reason Suicide Squad got popular. People like misfits. Guardians of the Galaxy is a PERFECT example of that.
