I use both full beds of either Hyper G 1.25 at 48lbs and/or O-TORO 1.23 at 48lbs in my Head Speed Pro, love the setup.

I'm playing at 30 lbs. I think you can get to a point so low that you start to lose power again (

I tend to string my racquets between 45-50 due to arm issues, but ever since I started to experiment with strings like Toroline, I found myself bumping the tension back up to 55 to account for loss of tension. But the main reason is that, imo, toroline strings on low tension tend to launch the ball out. Due to toroline's snapback feature it creates a livelier shot, so low tension on them felt a bit too overwhelming.

I tried O-Toro in my EZONE 98+! Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse they're definitely great strings nonetheless. I'm also using O-Toro right now as well.

I'm looking forward to trying some mixtures. I really enjoyed the ENSO Pro in Neon Pink, I put it in my Percept 97H a while back. It has good control and held tension better than most of the Toroline strings that I tried. I think a shaped string in the mains with the ENSO Pro in the crosses would be nice. Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse that's great to know actually. I'll have to play around with that mixture as well. Thanks!

To stay on topic , while speaking to Ashaways ceo in the past , I am going to try a prestretched Razorcode 17 main at 36 lbs and Ashaway monogut zx / zyex pro 1.22 in the cross at 52 or 53 pounds . I am wondering before I do this on my Dunlop CX 200 tour 18x20 , if the difference in tensions would have a dangerous effect on the frame ? Zyex is not comparable to a multi or poly , so comparing tension effects are not possible . When I put in Ashaways cross fire zx the tensions applied as recommended were kevlar mains at 42 min and monogut zx / zyex pro cross 52 min . Previously with the initial set up , there was no problem other than the kevlar loosening to quickly .

Any string and tension recommendations for a Clash 98 V2 I just got? Been using a Blade 98 V9 with P6 at 50#, HG17, Lynx Tour etc. So far I tried the Lux Savage black 1.27 at 50 and didn’t like it. Ball either launches or hits the net even with my ball machine. NTRP 3.5 to 4.0 level.

I use Luxilon Natural Gut 1.30 at 59 lbs and Luxilon ALU Power Rough 1.25 at 56 lbs. Nothing compares

For me personally it depends on the racket, for instance an aero or pure drive I typically string at 57 because I can’t control it at a lower tension, whereas the iso 305 I string at 48 and even tried 45 and had good results

I agree. I switched from a gravity pro to a vcore 98 and instead of stringing at 48 like I did for the gravity I go with 50 on the vcore. It’s about the same feeling of power for both of them even if they have a different tension.

@Michelle, I need to go back in the records and see if you aired the live version during the Olympics. What a sneak peak at the RF01 Pro! I’m loving toro toro in that racquet.

Can someone provide context for the tension that was referred to by Troy in the beginning of the video? And no, I'm not talking about string tension
