1:32 The show was actually revamped locally in Texas by Gene Patrick, who moved his business to TX in 1985. I think the revamp was 1988. The one Goddard Productions made lasted longer by a couple years.

Oh wow I remember watching this as a kid .. everytime I went to Astro world..this was my favorite..even amongst the rides.i loved this show..I stumbled across an article about Astro world online..it sparked this memory so I checked KZbin and low and behold the Texas long horn revue lol...I love this!!!! I will be saving this video.

I'd watch it @ least twice during a visit! Was eventually an usher there. i worked there 1985-89. Bayou Buzzard was funny as well. Western Junction in general was a fun section. Grubsteak restaurant i got a Coke, + fried apple pie!

Fun fact: This show opened the same year as the Koala Country Music Show, another County Bear Jamboree knockoff. Info on the Koala Country Music Show: It was an animatronic show that made by Hofmann Figuren and was installed at Dreamworld from 1982 to 2002. The big coincidence is that the show had 2 showtapes. The first showtape was used from 1982 to 1987. In 1987 the showtape was changed, the characters cosmetics were changed and backdrops were added.

The animated figures in these shows were always so damn clunky and jerky. None of them had any analog movements, probably due to the cost. I know that one Woodward pneumatic analog valve costs 2k and the high flow Textron valves are 4k. You can get a simple four-way valve for about $50 so, yeah just go with that. If you adjust the flows good enough and the program is well done, you can get things to look close to an analog movement but you can still tell. Your average Joe won't know the difference so the hell with it.

Check the comments of my previous video--I think one of the commenters has declared their intention to restore Gabby. Most of them are residing in a weather-beaten junkyard, in a collective state of cadaverous decomposition. Rumour has it that the place is home to ghosts and devils too, though that is most likely superstition, not much to worry about.

The majority of the characters have been demolished after being subject to several hurricanes while stored outdoors at Six flags Frontier City. Tenderfoot Pete, Calico Kate, and Gabby are the only ones to have been saved.
