The 3 parts of the interview gives the greatest insight into Biggs . Feels like honest, balanced reflection by a mature man over the public events of his life. Indispensable.

The best interview I've seen of any of the famed UK criminals. Clearly an intelligent and likeable man that had the most colourful life. Strange that he still had a slight Aussie accent nearly 30 years after leaving Melbourne.

Would playing the long game have proved more beneficial? He wasn't a troublemaker and in the scheme of the robbery quite peripheral so you'd think he'd have done a lot less than the initial sentence, with someone on the outside investing his loot he potentially could've left prison and enjoyed his later years a free man, even affording more than the standard healthcare that would eventually force his return

I can’t help admire this geezer I don’t believe in wronging anybody & what really does my head in is the Real criminals that run this country in particular. Ronnie wasn’t a criminal he was just someone that got caught up in a life of crime at a certain point of his young life - you can see how it happens in such circumstances. It’s good Brazil don’t seem stuck in the ages in its justice system.

Tavy@ i love watching every thing about these guys. In a way a cant help but respect them. Becouse of the way the pulled that job off. Bruce reynolds the brains behind it, put at least 13 men together there was at least 2 men who were never cought. Could you imagine trying that today lol. Ma point is ok they did the the exact same in the same way in 2021 in todays world of big and easy money, then when the 13 men get cought and told to expect at least 17 to 20 years. Could you imagine that not one of them wouldnt say a word and take the 20 years lol. No chance. At least 6 would walk free and at least 4 of them would turn queens evidence. Then just dissappear for good. But back to the main men, even the serouse crime squad or flying squad or both even secretly admired how they did it. One said "a mean to stop a royal mail train at 2.30am when it was doing at least 70mph to then disconnect the first 3 or 4 coaches to then slowly get the driver to take it about 100 to 150 yards were the bridge was and that was a huge big train with at least 7 to 8 carages on it, a mean at times a have a weel smile when a thinck about it and they wouldnt of got cought if that man did what he was paid to do and that was burn down the farm house to the ground and leave nothing" even if he didnt manage to raise it to the ground he wouldv still have got rid of any evidence plus the main men went over every thing with gloves on and cleaning fliuds. But the man took hes pay and never went near it, tommy wisby said "if we got him we would of killed him and if he went to jail he wouldnt be safe in jail in england becouse we knew alot of boys that would of got him, and there was still alot of the money uncoverd by the police, a dont thinck they even got half of it. Ronnie biggs seems a nice really intelegant man. A dont thinck his plastic surgery made him look diffrent at all, infact i had forgetting about that so it must of been bad or just a con. My gohhhhhhaaad a couldnt believe how much he had over 147 grand in 1963 and the amount of guys that came out the woodwork to help him and for what they wanted paid too was a joke. Am glad when these 3 guys all in it together wanted 80 grand to get him pass ports and a few other things but it was all just a huge gamble with these guys but what was ron to do. Thats the thing about total greed when this 80 grand debate went on for days, ron quickley spotted them for what they were? Just chancers based on greed and at that time 80 grand was over a million and a half in todays money lol yes its funny and just ridicoulas thats what they wanted. I thought did any one check them out to see if they could count and add money up, instead of just making up a crazy figure in there wanton pure greed uneducated mind lol. And ron got them down to 40 grand, still a crazy sum but ron a thinck said its 40 grand or al find some one else who will do it. And they jumped at it. Even though ron just halved the money, as a said greed works both ways, he should of said 30 grand a thinck they wouldv took it. But jack mills what was he trying to do by refusing to move the train. Ye dont get medals for getting yourself killed. And the queen wouldnt have went to his funeral, lets be honest here even the queen and her henchmen would of though a robbery like this and he wouldnt do what they told him wich wasnt much. After refusing point blanck mills only though there was 3 or 4 men becouse thats how many were in that small bit where the drivers sit, one of them hit him once on the back of the head to scare him enough to move it. While sympathetic to jacks motives, but did he really believe they were just going to abandon it and run away, becouse they were running on time as well. A thinck when one of them said just move it slow to the bridge and you will see a torch waving about with more men thats where you stop. A thinck he knew bridge, more men waiting and at least 8 of them this is alot bigger than i thought. But they didnt deserve 25 to 30 years. In a way it seems a joke. Some of the robbers even thought the old qc lord that senteced them thought he had the wrong trial and case load. Thats how bad it was. Even the police when they heard them getting senteced 1 by 1 were even screwing there faces up in disbelieve !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's like Ronnie says in his interview if you go into the prison system in the UK for a couple of months or maybe a year it's like a free holiday camp . it's like I've commented on other channels , on this subject ,about the UK prison system . I can't for the life of me understand why people " who are homeless And are Living in , freezing outside temperatures in a cardboard box in shop doorways . When all they need to do. is a stupid crime " and go to prison for 3-months and have plenty of heating in your cell and 3 Square meals a day . That's If you haven't got much of a life outside " which you haven't if you are living in a cardboard box (homeless) Then prison is for you in the UK , I'm on about . I don't know about the rest of the world . I haven't experienced that one. I would rather keep warm and have three meals a day , than be freezing and starving , but have my dignity . While this current government looks after people who have entered this country illegally (dinghy divers) People who do go into the prison system are not worried about their dignity , let me tell you that one . And I know first-hand Because I did 6 months for contempt of court " for telling the judge he was an a**hole with a wig on his head and maybe a few other things in temper aswell , lol on his £2;000 ($2400) a week wages (salary), 🇬🇧 And in this country if you get 6 months . You can only do 3 months , as long as you are a good boy " while you are completing your sentence . So my question is why does the judge knock. his gavel (hammer) down and say six months when he knows fine well your probably only gonna to be doing 3 months .🤔🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Homeless people are not usually criminals most have a dislike of authority & rules Also being homeless in a social / public environment can be a cry for help, either way nobody usually (intentionally) make themselves homeless or gets nicked. Good for you regarding the judge 👍🏼 Bit harsh tho 3months for honesty !

@@buzby303 I got 6 months because I wouldn't shut up he started off with two weeks then it went a four weeks then it went 2months because I didn't just mention the wig I mentioned out of touch with the reality every bloody thing Proper rant . It was over a divorce , and I knew she was lying through her teeth But the judge believed her , not me see she's educated I am not And when I came out of prison three months later the local council set me up with a flat and give me a £500 grant 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I agree bout training..say you learnt bricklaying. Then when you are out and you start earning good money for working hard but skillfully...Why would you want to steal say 50p when you could earn it....2 years you could earn 50 grand...Makes sense for society and for the individual and his family and victims of the crime...The money it cost the police the courts the prisons etc...Even if half make good its better than 2 outta a 100....What do you think ???
