I feel for you. With all due respect: Is there anyway that you can take the people that sold you the horse to court. Because it will cost you a lot of money on vets etc... to get him healthy. You are doing all the right things for the horse, and I sincerely hope that you can ride him some day. In the mean time keep the faith and the love for your horse. I hope to GOD that nothing else comes up. But in my heart I know that the people that sold you the horse knew of his health problems, they didn't want to spend all that money on him, which is sad, and a bad reputation for that barn and owners. Sorry to say this but on your next purchase use your own vet or take him to a large animal University for a purchase exam.Good luck and GOD BLESS YOU!

I really feel that he knew what was wrong with the horse too. Especially because he said to her, that, "oh all of a sudden, the horses. All these problems since you've got him" humph! Ashole.

I think the strawberry and good old dependable apple. Seeing hes on stall rest, you could quarter the apples and put in a bucket of water for dunking! Black horses friesian have Bear in stable rest after a major operation (metal plate and 18 screws ) He's being absolutely spoilt with loads of food and cuddles from his humans. One of them did this for him and he loved it! He's at the vets fighting off an infection resistant to anti biotics so his humans go and visit him and bring him food, love and scratches. He is the gentlest at mutual grooming😊. Positive vibes our darling Bear 🐻 💙 ❤️

Black Jack does not discriminate. I will tell you a story that happened to my friend this year. She decided to sell her 15-year-old horse due to the fact she was having issues getting on and off a 16.2 hand horse. She got down to riding the horse about 3 times a month. A lady came and checked her out, rode her, etc. My friend encouraged the lady to get a PPE due to the horse's age. The buyer opted not to get a PPE. 2 weeks later she called saying she bought the horse as a surprise for her boyfriend and he did not want the horse. A week after that she said the horse was lame. Took my friend to court and she won the purchase price and got to keep the horse. It all boils down to the judges knowledge of horses and this judge knew nothing about horses.

My mare loved hard peppermint candy. She would smack her lips together after eating one. She would nicker just by hearing the cellophane rustling. She would even bow in the hopes to get one. Carrots seemed to be the one he enjoyed most and longest.

I spoke with an attorney about this, and unfortunately, the horse industry is a "Buyer Beware" market.

That’s what I was thinking as well. Which is too bad because if buyers had recourse, sellers would have to be more honest.

He had a lot of fun with the watermelon. And it sure made a huge mess! lol He's on stall rest right now until I either get the MRI or he gets his follow up in early August with the vet. I'm hand walking him in the pasture and letting him graze on the lead line.
