The Great Wall of Leyte is a 4-meter high sea wall that spans about 27.3 kilometers, stretching in the coasts of Tacloban City and the towns of Palo and Tanauan.
The P9.62 billion tide embarkment project is expected to protect some 30,800 houses from storm surges and prevent another devastation from super typhoons like super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
