Great video, thanks! Have you already used the insert vor some games? Because I am a little bit scared about the sundrop minis sliding them. Have you noticed any damage of the minis putting them in and out?

It’s expensive regardless of where you are at. The link is in the description. It’s over $100. It’s not for a casual gamer to get. I just happen to love the game and I’m willing to pay a luxurious amount for it because it works soooo well.

How much room do you have in these card boxes? Because I personally use 110 thickness sleeves and I wonder if they will still fit there.

So mine all just barely fit without the iron dragon or ancient beasts. If you have both those and that thickness it may not fit.

I ordered this insert a few days before viewing your video, and it’s arriving today. (It would have arrived yesterday, but there was an address error.) It’s great to see that you love the insert. Reinforces my purchase decision. I would say that everyone one I know (including content creators like Quackalope and Boardgameco) say Black Powder is a must-play, kind of like Prelude and Terraforming Mars.

The problem is they are saying that from a standpoint of already knowing the game and rules so it’s very minor overhead to add it and it adds so much. I really worry adding that in where everyone is new, not knowing how breaching works, having no idea what pitfalls to avoid etc. plus watching their playthroughs, they didn’t even get some of the rules right lol. So I’m gonna start base game, if nothing else, so figure games I at least have a stronger point of understanding ti help guide the game along.

@@KMReviews I hear your point, and while I can’t dispute it, I’m not sure i can second it either. With TM, I can say that Prelude doesn’t add more mechanics and shortens the game, making it very newbie accessible. I wouldn’t teach/play TM without it. Whether that applies to Great Wall and Black Powder - I can’t say, since I haven’t tabled it yet.

@@sethwinslow but prelude is really just a setup thing where you start with more stuff to shorten the build up. Black powder completely changes many aspects of gameplay.

I can understand that fear from the friction. But no I’ve pulled the pieces in and out many times and played the game like 10 times since I’ve had the insert and haven’t noticed any paint or anything coming off at all.
