ughhh nope. wb pirates got spank hard. his last ditch attempt only annoyed the government. as long as they killed ace and fraudbeard thats all that matters. they did fail on ending the pirate era but the other objectives were accomplished

For the non-manga readers, the scene where Akainu burns off half of WB's mustache is a lot more gruesome in the manga. He basically blasts off half his face. Everything else that WB does after that (beating up BB etc) was with the left side of his head missing. So if you thought he was a chad based on the anime... manga is amazing.
