For those that don't know, the score was 20-13 Cleveland. Cleveland had just come from behind scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter and those fans felt they were about to send their beloved Browns to their first Super Bowl. Also, the kickoff that lead to the Broncos being at the two was the result of a rookie making a mistake by not letting the ball roll into the end zone for a touchback. Okay, now you're prepped.

This drive was literally my introduction and 1st impression of John Elway . Had never seen him or much NFL but , I followed him the rest of his career . The only thing my memory lapsed on was I didn't realize it was as much time on the clock I always thought it was less time on the Drive .

Mahomes has a lot more supporting talent to work with. The best receiver on that Denver team might be the #4 on KC today, or might not make the roster. Sammy Winder was small, but he was slow. And the offensive line was "patchwork" on their good days.

I still believe The Drive could have been stopped had Don Rogers (RIP) lived. Elway went after Rockins and Ellis often. He threw those big passes to Sewell, Mobley and then the sliding bullet to Jackson on the drive. I also think the Broncos feasted on man-coverage teams like the Browns, who would play cover-1/3 and not Cover-2 zone like the Giants (all eyes up on the QB). With Cover-1/3 man principles, the Broncos could run with Elway. Similar to what's happening to teams dealing with Lamar Jackson. Even though I'm a Browns fan and not happy with the outcome, there are a lot of lessons to be learned from this game.

I dont know about that . Both Cleveland and mile high were so loud that refs threw flag on Cleveland for excessive noise .15 yarder. Even stopped the game several times . Never threw it on Denver and it was just as loud and with feet stomping crowd . 12th man origin crowd noise was part of Cleveland and Denver series . D# egging them on to disrupt Elways play calling and snap count . Elway got flags thrown on Cleveland Crowd by complaining his snap count couldn't be heard . It was quite a spectacle .

The Browns had a better TE in Newsome but Orson Mobley wasn't bad either. Overall the Browns and Broncos were evenly matched but the X-factor was Elway, plus our defense had lost Don Rogers (RIP) forever in June. :(

If Brady would have played back then he would not even made it to a Superbowl. Back then you were actually allowed to hit the QB and Receivers, just saying that the rules have changed so much it makes it totally advantageous to the offense.
