Amazing that you were able to save this and preserve it on the internet!

Thanks! I've managed to save almost every tape from that time period. Lost maybe 20, and 3 or 4 have self destructed.

This is some damn fine DEDICATED FAN WORK. Especially to do this in 1981, at a young age I'm assuming. Even when I was old enough in the late 80s/early 90s to record my favorite TV shows, like Star Trek TNG or Quantum Leap on VCR, I still didn't get all the episodes and certainly not their premieres or promotional ads. The quality is amazing. Was this recorded on Beta? I vaguely remember Betamax tapes, I was real young in the 80s, but I remember hearing it was superior to VHS tapes.

Great observation! YES it was Beta!! I was 14 when I talked the parents into buying a VCR. I convinced them to buy Beta because it had superior picture quality. We know how that worked out and who won the format war. I think I sold my dad on the idea when I told him I could set it up to record all the sports he missed while at work...LOL. I only missed two episodes of the series because our local ABC station would sometimes air The Billy Graham Crusades instead of network programming. I used to sit during different nights of the week and record things I wasn't interested in just to catch the promos.

I have been looking for one where he is weaing the suit top and has Maxwell in the same shot... Too bad we did not have a VCR until 1984.. I bet there is a TON of promos and bloopers out there somewhere...

William Katt was born crazy for his successful role as Ralph Hinkley, a high school teacher who became a modern day “superhero” through trial and error. Robert Culp was no slouch either. He portrayed the gruff, no-nonsense FBI Agent Bill Maxwell who used Ralph to help stop criminals from breaking the law. And the lovely Connie Sellecca (of future “Arthur Hailey’s Hotel” fame) was ADA Pam Davidson, Ralph’s girlfriend and eventual wife, who assisted the two sometimes on their missions.

We're is the suit now ? Is it in. A museum ?

No real screen used suits are in any museums. The screen used suits that still exist are all in private hands and not on display for the public.
