Does this mean that the X6 (non-Ti) will be cheaper than the X5 with the much reduced cost of the American Tackle guides compared to the genuine Fuji K series guides? Still don’t think Fox have come out with a better blank than the older Horizon X/XT/XTK ones TBH. The X* rods didn’t feel right to me compared to the older blanks.

The standard X6 rods are a similar price to the X5 not cheaper as the blank is much more expensive. Really worth having a look/try with these they are next level good! Much lighter than any previous Horizon rod but with the power of those that have gone before them and insane recovery!

Alps are cool but no benefit to the standard real seat. Plus in the winter you need gloves

Alps actually are not beneficial on long range rods as they allow very little flex which when the rod is at full compression on big casts is essential. Fuji are far better in this department

What is the difference between x5s and x6

The X6's are a much slimmer and lighter rod 45% lighter in fact. That is in part due to the blank and part due to the guides. In terms of casting performance they will both cast similar distances in one off circumstances. However the X6, as it is lighter, feels more effortless. They are a sublime rod.
