I can only comment on my first impressions of the sonik kit as I don't have them for long when filming them, but all things sonik I can't fault..I use some sonik bits myself. My bivvy is one of theirs and its less than half the price of my previous bivvy and I love it. When it comes to their rods, again, you really can't fault them. I guess with my rods I can only relate it to cars. A standard skoda octavia estate vs a skoda octavia vrs estate. Both carry the same amount of kit inside, but I much prefer rocking up to the lake in my vrs. Call is fashion/pompous but that's how I see it. :)

@@truckinghell1655 to be honest I've not looked at any brolly systems in a while but I would again recommend the axs brolly. For 500 quid they should be identical. That to me is just poor craftsmanship. I bought a set of greys aircurve when they first came out and they were the same, 1 tip section fitted better than the other, I sold them on. Ordered a set of hand made century blank rods from rod builder nick Buss, and every little detail was identical between the 3 rods. No way Daiwa quality control should allow such poor work. Flagship rods or just flagship prices. This video has put me off ever purchasing a set of Daiwa rods, so that’s 2 companies on my no go list now. I’ll stick to true British hand made craftsman who care about the product they produce.

When the fish learn to only take bait from a £500 rod is when you can use the 'you don't take your angeling serious enough' argument. If I fish with a rod half the price and can catch exactly the same carp why does rod price matter.

If you are stupid rich or if you got sponsor, YES .But if you are a regular dude, nope not rly, they only way a rod worth inventing 500£ is only if you fish at extreme distances and you go compete. Other than that if you are fishing at 40m - 60m you can use any broom handle. Now looking at my wife.. she spends more on bags and shoes.. so.. i'm confused....
