The fact that Lebron understood the suffering of Cleveland not winning for 52 years makes this one of the greatest sports celebrations of all time. In 1994 I was 25 when Houston got out first and it was epic. The was amazing. Congratulations Cleveland.

Well at lease they didn't riot and tear the streets up, because that's what Chicago did when Michael Jordan and the Bulls won their 1st championship in 1991 against the lakers.! My cousin in law, had a sister that were out at the time and she got jumped by a group of people and they broken her arm it was crazy.!

Here in Houston we "never" won anything basketball,football, or baseball until our back to backs in 1994-1995 . We didn't know what to do when we won. lol. We went crazy it was do much fun. lol

To be fair, the Houston Oilers won the AFL championship back in 1960 and 1961, pre Super Bowl era. Not sure how the parade or rally was, probably not as extravagant. lol Then the Rockets won their back to back NBA titles in the mid '90s. The Astros and Texans are still working on gettin their first ones, give it about 5-10 years. Ha! Now, Chicago. That's just a rough city in some parts of it. Huge city. So the violence and riots that took place in their celebrations isn't too shocking. LA is similar.

On a plane on my way out to SF right now for the company's holiday party. So I was at Corner Alley with my wife that night. We were on the other side of the bar. What an amazing night. And this video helps me relive that sheer and unadulterated joy. So yeah, Golden State is historically great. Beat our a**es 3x. But we always have that perfect summer June night in Cleveland, OH.

The past few days living here in NE Ohio has been amazing. I was one year old when Jim Brown lifted the last trophy here, and this still seems surreal. Seeing total strangers hugging and high fiving one another everywhere you go is goose bump material. We needed this in the worst possible way.

Cleveland won a championship and the way it ended was incredible. Kyrie hitting the 3 against Curry, Love guarding Curry, and Kyrie's pass to James for the dunk. I'll never forget the moment, just wish I could have been back in Cleveland for the celebration. I remember not following the game because,,,well,,,we always lost...i was laying down and it was late at night...all of a sudden all these cars outside started honking like crazy and I didnt understand what was going on because I forgot about the game. Then my sister texted me and said "we won!"...i still didn't put two and two together lol. Then I did but still didn't believe her because it was too unreal so I went on Google. Sure enough it was true! I hopped out if bed, picked my sister up around the corner and drove downtown and it was like a huge party outdoors in the streets! It was like nothing I ever witnessed before! It was awesome. Everyone was united.

Down here in Southwestern PA, the Pen's won the cup. 6 hours northwest of Pittsburgh, the Cavs win the NBA title in the very same year. I'm a big Cavs fan because of the geographical location of the team. I think that's really cool that my favorite hockey team and favorite basketball team won a championship in the same summer.
