The first time I beat my dad was only quite recently (I’m 17). In my defense, my dad played a lot of chess. I won with a great move. I captured a pawn with my rook in a way that looked like it was a sacrifice, but in reality if he took it I had checkmate in 3 moves. After Knight takes Queen in 1:40, White can move his King to G2, and if both White and Black play the best move possible, it will eventually lead to White winning after 36 moves. At least according to the engine.
