@@jj2387 which proves my point, the ability to defend your borders...you wouldn't be enslaved, raped, etc. If you had a powerful military that is capable of invading would be aggressors. As a white man, I agree. I would find it insulting to be told my entire life my history was that only of subjugation, of faux-peace, of “resistance”. Hippies and tree huggers until those darn whites showed up. I refuse to condescend to my black brothers and sisters by coddling them in this fake history. Africa was conquered once by Europeans, but Africans have conquered before in their own right just the same.

My list of Conqueror Kings: • King Taharqa- Due to his battles with the Syrians and Herodotus even mentions him invading Europe and making it as far to the steps of Hercules in Spain! The bible also mentions his battles! • Idris Alooma- He modernized Kornembu Empire with Ottomon military training, got them guns, and was recorded as winning as many as 300 battles undefeated! • Queen Amarenas- She invaded Roman Egypt after they tried to make her and the Nubians pay unfair taxes. She stole the statue head of Augustus and brought it back to Nubia along with hundreds of Roman prisoners! •King Kaleb of Axsum- When he heard of Christian Ethiopians being oppressed in Yemen, he raised an Army from Ethiopia and crossed the sea annexing Yemen and Arabia and bringing it under African control. •Jean Jacques Dessalines- Even though Haiti is not in Africa, it was established by Africans. And when it was founded Dessalines was declared Emperor of the Haitian Empire. Dessalines was the one who defeated Napoleons Army and all laid waste to the Spanish and British. He was born in West Africa. Edit: Here are more great Warrior Kings to checkout •Yohannes IV of Ethiopia-He pushed back an Ottoman invasion of Ethiopia and was the first to engage the Italians when they started breaking their peace treaties • Tewodoros II- when Ethiopia was fragmented during the age of princes, being emperor was nothing more than a figure head, he put an end to that and United the country •Ganga Zumba of Brazil- Created an independent African Kingdom in Brazil that lasted from 1605-1695 and defeated the Portuguese on several engagements •John Horse of Florida- Was prince of the “Black seminoles” and led the largest slave revolt in US history leading them from Florida to freedom all the way in Mexico!

For me that is the goal of living, to be able to live life. I'd love to learn more about creativity, intellectual pursuits, female perspectives. I'm always learning a lot about people who may have been my ancestors and I love it yet military history in general (world wide) seems better documented than another other kind of human event. It like everyday people who benefited from the security brought to communities by strong militaries have many of their achievements lost in time.

To your list of the great kings of Africa, add Menelik of Ethiopia, who was the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba - after the death of his father, Menelik expanded his Ethiopian kingdom from the Arabian Sea to the Atlantic - how and when he did this is documented in historic records. Menelik's famous son was Dawit II ( David the 2nd, who was the great grandson of King David ). Online you will find photos of Queen Elizabeth bowing down to Haile Selassie, the descendant of Dawit II because she knew he was descended from King David and King Solomon - the timeline we are given for their lifespans is a psy-op of epic proportions.
