I'm late to the party on this episode, but Andrea Romano was the secret MVP of the DCAU's success. Every single voice actor cast in their respective roles was pitch perfect for the character. Every single one of them brought so much life to the character that I can't help hearing their voice when I read a comic featuring that character. And we have Romano to thank for that.

So funny her mention of Scooby Doo! My four year old loves Scooby Doo because in my sales pitch to him I told him that the ghost/goblin (insert other monster here) is always someone in a costume. I think this has helped so much curve many fears knowing that a lot of things that many seem spooky typically have an reasonable explanation.

I appreciate hearing that from someone like Andrea, because I have felt like Christy with impostor syndrome. All my life I've had people tell me I had a great voice for a voiceover career, but I felt that only being able to do one distinct voice wasn't enough in today's industry. That being said, I don't want to rely on just my regular voice. I can be challenged and I've done work where I have made subtle changes, such as in pitch, that allowed me to do others. It's so much fun! Also, Christy's voice is taking me back to my childhood. All I hear is Kim Possible and, for her, I wonder what it feels like to have a voice that makes others feel warm and nostalgic. I can't wait to have that experience and do a staple character some day soon!

Hi IHV. I was very shy with my voice and decided to start this Yt channel as a way to practise. After 2 years of copying different sports casters and creating my own tempo I started to lose motivation to post. I got angry that my channel wasn’t growing. I took multiple breaks and on this break I found your podcast. I watched all your pods, some 2-4 times. I really feel like we’re birds of a feather. Watching you guys on this podcast reminded me that I didn’t start this Yt channel for numbers. I started because I have voices in my head, and I want my voice to be among them.

My respect for her exponentiated far more than it already had after watching the 2024 version of Avatar. I know she was a voice director but my God, if she was on the live action set and used to some capacity, she would have made sure the actors delivered their lines with absolute believability. Even beyond all that, it’s ever more clear to me now why the original creators left.

And to think this woman got to work with some voice acting legends like Daws Buttler, Mel Blanc, Rene Auberjonois and Janet Waldo among others. I love how starting in the 1985 series of the Jetsons, we started seeing actors like Rene Auberjonois, Michael Bell, Chick Vennera and Kenneth Mars in the show, alongside people like Lorenzo Music and Rob Paulsen. It is amazing just how many voice actors she brought to the Jetsons alone starting in 1985.
