Just wanted to say thanks for this tutorial. I play boogie and blues and wanted to take it to the next level with some Dr. John licks. I've been stuck playing the same licks the past few years and I needed to expand. You make it easy (I should say easier) to follow along. Can't wait to learn this!

Started listening to a lot of Dr John going down the rabbit hole and this lick is amazing and added to the arsenal today. A lot of boogie woogie in this lick you can unwrap and use different pieces in your playing. Thank you sir!

I love when you show licks that move from the I to the V (And particularly in the key of C :) )

If I saw this comment on any other video that isn't about piano music, I would be grossed the HECK out.

Another amazing one after the super "as time goes by" tutorial. Your creative-tutorial speed largely exceeds my learning speed so I am accumulating "to-learn songs". But, of course, that's how I like it. You seem to be a workaholic or better still a tutorialaholic. And we should all be grateful for it. Thanks Christian.

Do you rember the "super-learning" tapes from the 80's? They claimed you can learn deeper if you listen to them while asleep. Maybe that would be a problem solver...

This is a GREAT tutorial .. you explain the technique for this lick, but also the philosophy of learning a new lick. thank you so much ! I've been working on one of Johan Blohm's boogies, and your technique for learning it 'tight' is really going to help.

Thanks, Ed! I think the further you get, the easier the thousands pass by. Exponential growth, if everything else is done right..

Yeah, right... And if you use THAT in front of a 12-pounder, what are you gonna do for a turnaround after a double-Mac ?? With cheese 😂😂😂
