Crazy ending. would have been hilarious if blue had a kill guard on white and he was stuck back there

I mean on a game that runs that late you don't leave enemies behind your defenses, with card trades getting to 100-200 etc. and it was obvious olive was trading with white and they card-block blue since he was the strongest.

Blue was getting too many troops to have a kill guard. They played well but when white and I teamed up on them it became too hard for them to win. I understand giving up

Awesome game, but can i ask the advantage of waiting till like 150 trades? Like it that just a matter of getting more material and hoping you can use it better than your opponents? Cos it gives them huge trades too and lets the caps get huge and harder to hit? I say this as someone that gets stuck in eu advanced stalemates a lottt so im just wondering what the Grandmaster logic is there

Good question. Card blocking when trades are low doesn’t do much as the value of a card isn’t worth a lot. When trades are high it is worth it. As the blue player got 38 cards a turn, when trades hit 150, each card is worth 50 troops and the troop generation is greater than the territory and bonus generation.

@@OliveXC ahhhhh, that makes sense Ty! I figured there'd be a reason it was 150 specifically, good to know! I've probably been trying quite a few unnecessary/unprofitable card blocks, but hey at least it's a good way to demoralise your opponent haha
