Fun fact: Iru Khechanovi is representing Georgia in Eurovision this year! Also the first guy, Will Church, competed in Germany's national finals for Eurovision this year and came second. The circle of life lol. edit: Just noticed, the female coach from Lithuania is Monika Liu, Lithuania's participant from last year. And Mark Forster, one of the German coaches, is married to Lena who won the contest for Germany in 2010. So many cross-references lol

Another fun fact: Iru didn't cover "Euphoria" only, in the semifinal covered "Rise like a Phoenix" in a besutiful way!!!! Plus, Iru won Junior ESC2011 with "Candy", the first georgian win in an Eurovision contest.

Another fun fact: There was something like a casting show in german TV before the ESC in 2010: "Unser Star für Oslo" (Our Star for Oslo). So the people were allowed to choose the german ESC-act. Lena won it. Of course there were judges as well...and many of "Lenas judges" are/were "The Voice of Germany "-Coaches and/or "The Voice Kids"-Coaches too: -Yvonne Catterfeld -Sarah Connor -Peter Maffay -Nena -Xavier Naidoo -Rea Garvey -Sasha (Lena & Sasha were even both Coaches in TVK Germany in 2016 & 2020) -Stefanie Kloß (Lena and Stefanie were also both Coaches in TVK Germany in 2019😄)

And the song needs so much energy and she's just standing right there for the whole 3 minutes. I was saying to myself, at least have some dancers or do something walk to the crowd.

The SHUM cover is insane. Not only has that girl an amazing voice, but she's also playing the piano and rearranged the song which also makes the performance incredibly unique. I'd also be interested in seeing the Belgian Guys' performance without all of the weird camera ankles. Also, Oxa's performance ability and charisma amazes me every time I see it. And unlike Will Church, she doesn't have a terrible attitude to spoil it.

I kind of love how most of them sang songs from different countries than their own! It shows that even though Eurovision is a competition, it's still a unifying experience for most (European) people to enjoy the music that comes out of it

Will Church was amazing.. Iru has an incredible voice... absolutely stunning. Tout L'Univers is incredibly difficult to sing and I thing this guy pulled it off better than most who've tried. Shum made me cry.

Iru successfully made me love Euphoria, by golly that was a STUNNING performance! When I saw the name I was like 'Wait...' and then saw it was Georgia and was like 'WAIT' and then she started singing. I assume this is an interval performance at this season's finale? Either way, absolutely incredible! I hope she knows how loved Echo was despite not qualifying. That cover of Shum was also really interesting! Completely rearranged the song.

Iru won The Voice Georgia and that's why she represented Georgia in ESC this year. The Voice is the "national final" for Georgia, it's how they choose the representant

He does have a nice voice, but that choice of song made him sound weak. He would have been better off singing a different song because Tout l'Univers is incredibly difficult to pull off due to Gjon's use of chest voice instead of falsetto.

Except for the Duncan Laurence song Eurovision songs rarely have any impact or success in North America. Yet Eurovision has been a huge event for many decades. Many are not in english of course but perhaps other commenters can name the big hits from Eurovision that found success outside of Europe.

Still couldn't believe Iru didn't qualify to this year's ESC Grand final. It's unfair she lost to Polish horrible song Solo.
